I feel like the fact that it ended in 90 seconds just means that Conor was the much better fighter. In order for Dustin to prove he’s improved more I think he needs to show that the gaps closed by actually damaging Conor this time around and making it a fight. If he goes 5 rounds only to get more of what he got in those last 90 seconds then it’s hard to say he’s improved more.

People talk about knowing how to use range, and bring up people like Adesanya as a perfect example. Conor disguises range with his footwork, making you think he's just out of range with is left and he can only reach you with the Jab. Then when you throw the Cross he blasts you with the left hand, because you're actually well inside the range. Happens all the time.
I think the biggest difeence here is distance control for Dustin. He's learned a lot more how to get in his effective range although he does still keep his head on the line too much.

Idk man, people keep bringing up how conor fades and to a degree I’ll definitely agree, but not to the extent that people think. The idea that conor fades I believe came in after his diaz fight, and truthfully I don’t think people stopped to consider that it was a 145’er fighting at 170. That’s a lot of extra weight to carry if you’re not used to it. He faded again against Mayweather, but again, it’s a realm that he’s not all too used to, fighting for way longer, at a higher intensity, against one of the best to ever do it. If you look at the khabib fight, sure connor tired, but nowhere near the extent that one would expect and also much later. And bear in mind, khabib’s probably the person that would tire you out the most in this sport. Finally, you would be stupid to believe that connor hasn’t realised that he’s gonna have to fight for much longer than in the past and made adjustments to aid in that goal. Connor will fade, but make no mistake: Dustin making it past the first round or two, doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gonna win the fight.
Imagine having 150 million dollars , infinite amounts of time to train and all the best experts at your fingertips on top of all his physical abilities. Dustin and Conor both have improved significantly , which leads me to believe Conor will win again.
Very difficult to tell because McGregor achieved the most since then but he was running through everyone back then anyway, whereas Poirier had a great comeback from that and is probably the 3rd or 4th best lightweight right now behind Conor though

Conor and Poirer have both improved. However the improvements are very different. Dustin has improved in that, he’s much more mentally strong, and he’s much more comfortable at 155. His game and style really haven’t changed that much though. Conor’s game has improved drastically.
Yeah Cheal's right Dustin's improved but Connor has made leaps and bounds I mean life-changing differences since they fought before when they fought at first Connor was just getting his feet wet in UFC then became the featherweight champion, then made history and became a first time ever double champion, then made history fighting Floyd Mayweather started his own whiskey became the biggest box office fighter in the UFC to date. I feel like Uncle Chael isn't listening to the some of the top pundits because I've heard them repeatedly say Conor is a counter puncher, he does his best work with his left counter punching... which ergo is the defensive left.
Conor's style counters Dustin's. Dustin fights at close range and is vulnerable while closing distance and Conor is the best at exploiting precisely that.
Yeah I don't know, Poirier seems to have some secret to beating great kick boxers. Hooker, Holloway, and Gaethje are all known to be great strikers with the latter two being elite level. If Poirier can avoid getting put down he will have put in the round work with the judges in the mean time. If Conor doesn't win by TKO by the end of the second round the Poirier wins it by decision.
Although I want Porier to win, stylistically, I think Conor is a terrible matchup for him. Porier will often overextend himself when initiating an exchange, thus leaving himself more open to countering (which is also why Porier's fights tend to be so entertaining). Connor uses a karate stance, allowing him to fight very long. He enjoys the most success when his opponents try to cover the distance and get caught by his left hand. A few of these counters, and his opponents stop trying to cover the distance, and McGregor can just tee off on them until the ref stops the fight. Since Porier often initiates exchanges from further back, Connor will have plenty of time to set up his counter. While anything can happen in MMA, I think the odds are clearly in Conor's favor.
They’re both insane fighters, I’m just ready to see the fight.

Dustin moved up weight classes had some hard fights got became interim champion and basically got whooped by khabib in championship fight, after hearing cheal say that I realized how much Connor grown and achieved since the first fight it's crazy and I think Connor is the better fighter plus he's got the win over Dustin so that's already in Dustin's head I don't care who you are if somebody beat you that's going to be on your mind, but I'm so excited and I'm rooting for Conor McGregor.
I feel like Uncle Chael isn't listening to the some of the top pundits because I've heard them repeatedly say Conor is a counter puncher, he does his best work with his left counter punching... which ergo is the defensive left.
Firas Zahabi breaks down conors left hand perfectly
He also thinks Perry had no right to defend himself from the old geezer..
Conor's style counters Dustin's. Dustin fights at close range and is vulnerable while closing distance and Conor is the best at exploiting precisely that.
If hooker, chandler, porier or Mcgregor gets injured Holloway is there to save the day
Yeah. After last night, now I wanna see Conor & Max rematch more than I wanna see Conor fight anyone else.
Dustin improved way more and thats why i think he will win
Yeah I don't know, Poirier seems to have some secret to beating great kick boxers. Hooker, Holloway, and Gaethje are all known to be great strikers with the latter two being elite level. If Poirier can avoid getting put down he will have put in the round work with the judges in the mean time. If Conor doesn't win by TKO by the end of the second round the Poirier wins it by decision.
Max proved that in a stand up fight speed matters..Conor will definitely have the speed advantage.
How come Jeremy Horn had your number?
Amazing video
I am a conor fan but if he thinks this is going to be a walk in the park he is wrong Dustin has improved so much he is more dangerous than ever
Chael ❤️ Connor
