You have to understand how exciting it was for the Vikings to win that game. We’ve only once in our history won more games and we’ve never got a Lombardi. The only championships in every sport is 2 World Series in ‘87 and’91 and 4 Lynx championships which sadly no one watched.

I think the crazy and funny shirtless guy nailed it, GB doesn’t have a true #1 WR. They beat their guy in man-to-man coverage. When GB gets a #1, you will see what Love can really do. Not sure if it’s fair to be overly critical if he isn’t setup for success… see Sam Darnold.

Watching this video reminds me of how much easier the game would've been last Sunday if the Vikings kicker hadn't hit a cross bar AND an upright! 33-25 sure as h_ll would've been less stressful than 27-25! It wasn't champagne. It was water. It's not that big of a deal to beat the Packers good Lord they look, hoisted him up on their shoulders for a great season and because they love him. He is a really good guy from all accounts a really decent human being, who tries as hard as he can and improves and is coachable.That kind of stuff gets noticed by other players in a locker room.
Beating the Packers is the Super Bowl for the Vikings and for Vikings fans, so it would not have been surprising if they actually had champagne. They probably had to do water only cause they play the Lions the following week. There will never ever be a bigger deal for the Vikings than beating the Packers in the regular season.

JJ McCarthy is as good if not better than Sam Darnold and on a rookie contract. No way do the Vikings trade McCarthy. Dude was 27-1 in college. He won the National championship. I don’t care if it was a run first offense. You don’t go 27-1 unless you are legit.
@ Sam has his best season in part because of the Vikings QB friendly system and the surrounding cast, possible by the cap savings of his modest 10 million contract. Sam will want at least 30 million a year to return which will cut into free agent signings. We’ve seen Sam’s limitations against elite defenses that can bring pressure. He’s good but not elite. A minor upgrade over Cousins. His college record was good (20-4 with a Rose bowl win) but not as impressive as McCarthy’s 27-1 record and national championship. I think the Vikings need to roll with McCarthy next season. Let him develop behind Daniel Jones and if Jones can’t get it done put McCarthy in so we can see what we have.

JJ McCarthy is as good if not better than Sam Darnold and on a rookie contract. No way do the Vikings trade McCarthy. Dude was 27-1 in college. He won the National championship. I don’t care if it was a run first offense. You don’t go 27-1 unless you are legit.

@ Sam has his best season in part because of the Vikings QB friendly system and the surrounding cast, possible by the cap savings of his modest 10 million contract. Sam will want at least 30 million a year to return which will cut into free agent signings. We’ve seen Sam’s limitations against elite defenses that can bring pressure. He’s good but not elite. A minor upgrade over Cousins. His college record was good (20-4 with a Rose bowl win) but not as impressive as McCarthy’s 27-1 record and national championship. I think the Vikings need to roll with McCarthy next season. Let him develop behind Daniel Jones and if Jones can’t get it done put McCarthy in so we can see what we have.
