@@williambunter3311 He tells unbelievers that they need to repent of their personal sins, when in reality, they are unable to do that until they trust in the gospel message. Repent and believe are two sides of the same coin. It's about going from not trusting in Jesus' finished work to relying upon it to save them. It's choosing to turn away from whatever they were trusting in to make themselves right with God to trusting in God's provision, which is Jesus Himself. Ray Comfort presents a works-based gospel, something that God will not accept.
I really got caughtup in Lordship salvation with the repentance and not baring fruit jargin. Thank you Pastor Woods. As usual you make things make sense biblically and give me clarity. Funny, I was saved by grace thru faith alone. Absolutely but then I started going to church and they knocked that right out of my head...lol. God help us!
I have found one in midstate NY. Assembly of God. From everything my pastor has taught, its free grace thru faith salvation, no works. So far, very good and I'm grateful cause I've in my 39 years of faith, been in a lot of churches that add works to be right with God.
Yes, too many Christians are sharing the gospel incorrectly today which is causing confusion! The gospel of John (which was written to an unbelieving audience) states 100 times that the only condition needed to be met for salvation is to believe (meaning to trust, rest in, rely upon, or have confidence in). When Christians tell unbelievers that they need to repent or turn away from their personal sins, they are asking them to do something that is not only impossible, but it is out of line with what the Holy Spirit is doing in the world. The Holy Spirit is convicting unbelievers of their need to believe (John 16:9). The unbeliever doesn't have the Holy Spirit in them yet to know what their personal sins are. Once a person believes the gospel message (1 Corinthians 15:3-4), they become instantly born again, receiving the Holy Spirit for eternity (Ephesians 1:13-14). A person can become born again in the privacy of their own thoughts and heart by trusting in the gospel message, as it is between them and the Lord. No prayer, confession, joining a church, giving money etc is necessary for salvation (Acts 16:30-31, John 3:16). After a person becomes saved, the Holy Spirit then begins to sanctify the new believer (convicting them of their personal sins) and leading them into all truth (John 16:13). God works through the scriptures of the Bible because it is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12), it is God's inspired Word and was written to correct us and train us in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). It grows our faith/trust in Jesus (Romans 10:17) and is all we need to be able to live the life that God wants us to live (2 Timothy 3:17, 2 Peter 1:3). Romans 10:9 is usually used to show unbelievers how to become born again. However, Romans 9, 10 and 11 were written about Israel. Romans 8 ends with how nothing can separate believers from God's love, so the next 3 chapters were written to show how God isn't done with Israel. Romans 9 is about Israel being elected, Romans 10 is showing how Israel were rejected, and Romans 11 shows how Israel will be accepted during the 7 year tribulation period. Romans 10:9 is actually showing how Israel will confess Jesus as their Saviour in the future, (see also Matthew 23:39). Belief in Jesus' finished work is all that is needed for an unbeliever to be saved today. Continue reading the Word of God and allow it to transform you from the inside out by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). I once heard it said that "What you see, you believe, and what you believe you will live". Start to see yourself as the new creation you are in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) by reading the Bible as often as you can, and you will begin to live in freedom as you trust in God's promises for you. We serve Jesus out of love and gratitude for what He alone has done in our place, not to earn anything. Salvation is a free gift made available to anyone who wants to receive it. Christ purchased freedom for you, so He wants you to walk in it. Who the Son sets free, is free indeed. God bless! X

Since John MacArthur has added to the gospel doesn’t that mean his gospel is false? If his gospel is false, doesn’t that make him a wolf in sheep’s clothing?
God only knows his heart. Eternal security for everyone. If he once trusted on Jesus alone and later started believing in adding works at the back end, yes.. he was at one time saved, and will be saved, even if he wants to boast before the throne.
But to answer your question more in depth. A wolf in sheep's clothing is out to devour the flock. There's also the possibility that there's no bad intent, but he is being misled and has a shallow perception of scripture as a result of that. So he could be a false teacher (in error without knowing it) or indeed a wolf in sheep's clothing (that means he's diffusing the gospel on purpose). God only knows his heart. But at least the flock needs to hear this warning, yes.

We might ask someone do you believe in Jesus and who was He. They might respond "Yes, and then go on to tell us that Jesus is the Thirteenth Vulcan King, from the 13th planet, from the 13th parallel universe, and in 13 years will come back and save us from the 13th invasion of the Klingons." This person would need to repent (change their mind) about Jesus. Likewise, we might ask them do you believe in sin and what is sin? They respond with "Yes, and then continue to tell us that sin is the byproduct and only pertains to the 666 fallen demonic Unicorns, that Human's aren't sinners, never have been, and can live any lifestyle they choose." We know that sin is bad because it separates us from God and brings about death. Obviously they would need to repent (change their mind) about sin to an idea resembling - Sin exist, sin is bad, I'm a sinner, and I need to be saved from my sin. Everyone arriving at biblical faith in Christ as their personal Savior and His finished works has already repented.
From what I understood from Pastor Woods is that asking God to forgive us for sins is to keep us in fellowship with Him. We have to correct our relationship with Him in order for God to be in right standing with us again. He explained its just like a marriage. When a spouse has an argument or something occurs that breaks the fellowship, the spouse must repent/or ask forgiveness in order to reconcile the marriage. Its the same principle with God. I hope this helps.

Hey pastor when you say emotion is not a part of being saved how would we understand this passage that says otherwise 2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
Examples? If you have been taught anything else, you should examine what Dr. Woods is saying in depth, as well as the scriptures you are referring to, as well as consider who has taught you otherwise. This exposition of the Gospel is not new, it's actually very mainstream in some places, but unfortunately not in most churches. This is one of the clearest and best explanations of the Gospel I've ever heard. If you are believing anything else, then you are believing in error. I just wish more preachers were teaching the truth of the Gospel like this; unfortunately, too many are preaching something else, and church has become more like a self help seminar or worse. Refer to what Paul says about anyone who preaches a different Gospel.
James 1: Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
All of Pastor Woods' videos on Soteriology are excellent [Well everything else he does also :)]. Bur I think there is another possible meaning of Hebrews 13:17 [unless there is a grammatical reason that it can't be this way]: If you go back and read the account of Esau, it may be actually ISAAC'S repentance/change of mind that he was seeking. Please read Genesis 27:30-37, paying close attention to verse 34 where he starts to cry bitterly and asks Isaac to bless him also, but Isaac cannot do it. The book of Hebrews is all about the believing Jews that are thinking about making the irrevocable decision to go back into Judaism to escape persecution, which if they do, they will physically die in the future judgment to occur in 70 AD and also lose blessings and rewards in this life and at the Bema seat, although they would still be saved. Esau also made an irrevocable decision to sell his birthright, thus forfeiting the blessing that came with them, so Isaac could not change his mind and bless Esau instead of Jacob.
Changing your, mind is shallow change of heart is what God leads us to who are humbly turning to Him for forgiveness. Romans 10:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Dont let the various "Greek and Hebrew" variety of meanings of words trip u up or stumble you. Jesus is not fooling when he says : Matthew 18:7 4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. 6But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Here is the Apostle Pauls example you are asking for example. From the pure preserved Word of God itself. Acts 20: For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. We are mot getting all the counsel when A Woods neglects or spins off scripture that speaks of repentance. Only believe? Demons . believe and tremble James 2:19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” I was born again 55 years ago. Independently studying the Holy Bible at 14. 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” And later taught under Pastor Chuck Smith, but never independently but under The Holy Spirits guidance so that even if he ( Chuck) spoke out of error I would recognize it as such because of the anointing as is spoken of in I John. Cults and cult teachings always, always come out of teaching one or two verses that they use for their whole belief system and spin away ( as is the case with A Woods) or totally neglect the other verses in regards to the gospel message of repentance BTW .. because John the Baptist preached repentance to the Jews ... that does not mean we are not included in the command to repent as A Woods said ( that we are not included in it) when approached about 😢repentance! He said some scriptures are hard to be understood! Huh? He just does not want to believe it. Revelation 2:5 “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Luke 13:3I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Tha Gospel message must include repentance. Sinners prayer? He has a problem with that too. This is turning into a New Age Christianity this is leaven.
that is a new phrase, never was a problem until mid 2000s or later. asking Jesus as Lord is NOT WRONG for salvation. wow! why else would he say to those who do not the things that he says...ye say Lord Lord. and do not the things that I say... workers of iniquity . its like saying believe for salvation but don't be concerrned with obedience. you will know them by their fruit. imposters..that is blurring the lines of salvation. saved by faith thru faith not of ourselves it is the gift of God not of works (there's the blur) lest any man boast. works based salvation is not the fact that you make Jesus your lord and savior....its judaism. a whole different point the apostles teach. jews did base it on works. not submitting to God as Lord that's not works. Lordship salvation is a vicious accusational term . diluting a right relationship with God . sanctification does the work in out hearts to obey yes, but some will not continue due to the trials that sanctification can bring. that is why there are warnings in the word . Luke 6:46, Matthew 7:23 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them Not everyone that say unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven , but he that doth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name ? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

God bless! X
12:28 Meta (from the Greek μετα-, meta-, meaning "after" or "beyond" Not change.
Hey pastor when you say emotion is not a part of being saved how would we understand this passage that says otherwise 2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
physical damnation in saved coronthisns
Amen
Also there were some who were "Cut to the Heart" after hearing the message how does this not Include emotion as taught in 2 Cor 7:10
Another tragedy is we don’t preach the real meaning of the word repentance at all “rethink” in context rethink God rethink you’re life etc
How can mcarthur be saved ?
Cart before tje horse amen
Doesn't it boil down to who you are trusting in for your salvation. Jesus or yourself?
So for sure its not changing your mind about sin?
No. Jesus took care of the sin issue.
Scripture after scripture refutes this teaching.
Amen
Refer to what Paul says about anyone who preaches a different Gospel.
im.nit sure we van get saved from john though
James 1:
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
No sounds very low
Repent of sins iw lifestyle to be saved is heresy but it's everywhere and noone will.listen.
What do wr do?
send to ray
Only people that need to repent of sin ia anyone trusting in sin to get to heaven
Esau also made an irrevocable decision to sell his birthright, thus forfeiting the blessing that came with them, so Isaac could not change his mind and bless Esau instead of Jacob.
watch Jacob Prasch's refutation of this teaching. Andy gets a lot wrong.
You mean James "imposter jew" Prasch? Yeah, of course we can learn from this guy.. To twist the scriptures.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. THATS PAUL THE APOSTLE
What if someone is mute?
It’s just the gospel no wonder we are so fubared
Listen to the Holy Spirit that leads into truth read a good bible. Kjb
Paul warned of this sort of thing in Acts 20.
Changing your,
mind is shallow change of heart is what God leads us to who are humbly turning to Him for forgiveness. Romans 10:10
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Dont let the various "Greek and Hebrew" variety of meanings of words trip u up or stumble you. Jesus is not fooling when he says :
Matthew 18:7
4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Acts 20:
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
We are mot getting all the counsel when A Woods neglects or spins off scripture that speaks of repentance. Only believe? Demons . believe and tremble James 2:19
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
I was born again 55 years ago. Independently studying the Holy Bible at 14.
1 John 2:27
“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
And later taught under Pastor Chuck Smith, but never independently but under The Holy Spirits guidance so that even if he ( Chuck) spoke out of error I would recognize it as such because of the anointing as is spoken of in I John.
Revelation 2:5
“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”
Luke 13:3I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
I dont think these lordship people are saved
that is a new phrase, never was a problem until mid 2000s or later. asking Jesus as Lord is NOT WRONG for salvation. wow! why else would he say to those who do not the things that he says...ye say Lord Lord. and do not the things that I say... workers of iniquity . its like saying believe for salvation but don't be concerrned with obedience. you will know them by their fruit. imposters..that is blurring the lines of salvation. saved by faith thru faith not of ourselves it is the gift of God not of works (there's the blur) lest any man boast. works based salvation is not the fact that you make Jesus your lord and savior....its judaism. a whole different point the apostles teach. jews did base it on works. not submitting to God as Lord that's not works.
