Absolutely incredible skill. Doing this for over a half hour in the pouring rain with a fast car gaining on him, and he was still posting very competitive lap times while saving an immense amount of fuel/energy.
One of the best final stints I have ever seen. Unbelievable job, Nicklas. The amount of fuel saving and battery harvesting for the last 45 minutes was truly unbelievable. Driving on a wet track, saving fuel, trying to win Le Mans and still posting very competitive lap times under excruciating pressure. Unreal. Listen to the amount of lift and coasting on this lap and precise gear changes in and out of the corners for optimal management.
Nielsen's last two stints in the wet were magical: pushing hard in mixed conditions, managing traffic, that close shave with the wall in the Porsche curves, all of that while saving enough fuel to end the race with 2% energy remaining. A new star is born
I was watching both onboards at the same time. It was epic and very emotional. Not only Nielsen was crying, Pechito Lopez too, and that hit close home because he's an Argentinian like me. Seeing him fight until the end made us very proud. He gave it all like a warrior, both drivers did.

I probably estimate at least 3 consecutive days (more or less) before something goes wrong. Let's say we still use the Circuit de la Sarthe track for testing and we put the 499P to its knees by driving for 3 days straight. Always on the limit and pushing it as if it's an actual race. My hunch is that the cooling system might fail first, then brake discs/pads/fluid, then the transmission. Not exactly in order but something like that would fail if we push a LM Hypercar to it's absolute limits.
Incredible focus literally until he crossed the line. Waited until it was 101% complete before celebrating. Absolute steel mentality from these drivers.
It was an absolutely legendary Le Mans 24 this year, I haven't been this hyped and this entertained by a race in a long long time. Honestly I wanted Toyota to win especially the #7 which was an underdog all race, and it's annoying how lucky the #50 got, if they were forced to fix the door 1 lap earlier they would not have made it to the end on only 1 stop, but hey that's racing, and Nielsen still had to put in a legendary performance to make this happen. I'm hoping Cadillac can finally pull their shit together sometime though.
Ferrari win Monaco and Le Mans in the same year. There is still time to win F1 and WEC titles, too. This could be a year to remember if they finally sort out the strategy issues and capitalize on their cars’ performance.
This is back to back years correct last year was it 50 years and this year 51 years of something Idk if its Ferrari being in the LeMans Series or how long they've not won it in, but I know they made a livery that they were using today to honor 50 years of something regardless good too see them win again
