About Me
“The world needs more makers.” ~ RoyerX
Being from a family of creatives whose motto was to produce not to consume was etched into Kyle from a very early age and being educated at home gave him many opportunities to work hard at his own creative pursuits.
At eighteen, Kyle graduated high school and two weeks later received his Journeyman Smith Stamp and a rare double win of the George Peck Award and Bill Moran Award, “the 18-year-old prodigy”, “the blazing bladesmith” was what BLADE Magazine labeled him. Following that victory in November, 2009 BLADE Magazine ran a special five page spread “That Young and That Good”, the article went on to say “His ability to masterfully execute new designs, processes and artistic damascus patterns is remarkable. In spite of his young age, his fit/finish and attention to detail is representative of some of todays most known and sought after makers.” He was one of two to achieve Mastersmith by the age of twenty. His knives and his skills are highly sought after worldwide.
In the early years, if you weren’t at a knife show or a hammer-in, learning from the masters, information was hard to find, there was no online content and only a few books and videos, so it was a lot of trial and error in the knife shop. Kyle is passionate to teach makers his more than fourteen years of experience.
“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” We hope we can inspire you on your maker’s journey.
Thanks for watching
Enjoy!

The new years wishes for 2020 didn't age well lol this must have been one of the worst years so far. Love the channel only found it last week but i thoroughly enjoy it and the making process of your knives. Which are stunning. Your attention to detail is second to none, and i really enjoy your upbeat cheerful happy demeanor in every video. I so wish i had the money to buy one of your knives. keep up the good work. I started blacksmithing a couple of months ago and i also want to make knives and swords though i feel i have a long road ahead before... if i ever get to your level.
Feeling the love my friend

Josh experimenting... I like the takes trough stuff. Great Idea. Your best of 2019 was the end take of the knife, where you had the camera fixed and moved the light over the knife... Awsome, gave me ostrich bumps... Kyles best of 2019.... the coffee break where he took a sip... and maybe the presentation of the sword... Dads best of 2019.... the burning buffer wheel.

Mom
Kyle does some amazing working, and have great attention to detail. Just don't ask even the simplest of questions, and expect an answer. I got the impression he's not open to providing answers. However, like I previously stated, he does AMAZING work and I will continue watching his skilled art work.
Thanks M C
👍🏻🔥
Happy new year
Team Royer
Have you ever considered making a Kris?
Hi Kyle, nice work . I like this knife. Do you have plans on line for this knife? You keep doing great work.
Thanks Sir. Tony
No plans online,sorry
Happy new year
Team Royer
Did you make that attachment that’s allowing you to get those really small, tight radius’s?
Yes a plunge fixture
whats the disc sander your running kyle?
Yeesss!!!
So.. did you analyze those new frames?
Молодец. )
Where do you get your mammoth ivory scales?
So me falto entende oq fala kkk
Belo trabalho salvi aq do brasil
To get to Atlantis you use 8 chevrons!!!
My etching machine has an "etch" setting and a "mark" setting. The mark setting works on AC while the etch setting works on DC. I'm curious if the brass black will leave a better mark than the "mark" setting on Personalizer Etcher. Do you have an opinion about that?
Not sure Sam
Will the brass black bleed out from under the stencil
Good thought
Happy new year
Team Royer
clackity clack, ivory stacc

Team Royer
Can you tell me who produces your name etching stencils please?
yea i wanna know as well
Never understood why people put maker marks. Is it in case people steal it so you can say it’s got your name? Is it similar to when people write their name in their underwear?
Good eye Brein
When you filled out your last job application , house mortgage application... why did you put your name on it 👍🏻🤭
Good to have you hanging out with us all my friend
Happy new year
Dad
What is this Ninja view thing going on? Why is the camera hidden behind the equipment?
Hey, Kyle. Some frames need analyzing. Click to analyze.
I consume your content like crazy as a new maker, wow. What is it you use to darken your mark? Rasp black???
Ahhh - Brass Black**
Hey Dustin
Good to have you hanging out with us all
Happy new year
Dad

Happy new year
Team Royer
@@KyleRoyerKnives I have just replied to your email. Thank you Kyle for contacting me.
Only if he knew how 2020 was going to be...
Guess the new year message did not age well
Love watching you make knives
BUT PLEASE because it really disturbed me PLEASE DON’T USE a square like Hammer.
Sorry Rant over with.
Love your work
Hey thanks Matthew
No worries my friend all of our tools have been cross-trained certified 😜
No squares were harmed during the filming of this production
Dad
Dad
I see you r using your square tool as a hammer .. that's never a good habit as will afect the precision of the tool in time.
Thanks good point lonut
I own countless power tools for wood and steel.
They were meant for a particular purpose, however I consider them to be a carving tool to do my bidding in my hands. Letting them enjoy creating things they never thought they could do .🤪😉😎☕️. A circle saw is a carving tool 🔥
It’s like bending the neck of a guitar in order to make a very particular sound 😬. Glad you’re hanging out with us all lonut
Dad
Love the hunter, but camera work and edit was not good... Too many clips focusing behind things and weird angles was annoying and distracting.. less is more.
