  • I’ve interviewed Jimmy Carter more than any other president.
The reason is simple: he has lived so long after his presidency and he constantly wrote about global issues and personal experiences.
My first interview with him for CHARLIE ROSE, my nightly PBS interview program, was January 15, 1993. Over the next 20 years, we had more than a dozen candid, revealing televised conversations, talking about everything political and personal, moral and pragmatic. It is an inside view of history.

Regardless of one's political views, President Carter was a man of many admirable qualities and impeccable character.

Carter popped the OPEC price bubble - paving the way for the Reagan recovery.
He fought the good fight, and stood up for American values. Thank you, sir.

Pres. Carter ignored the politics for every decision he had to make at every turn and nobody wanted to see why! He was concerned more of what may be the right thing to do for the country more than what politics may bring against his own political career. A man of integrity!

Carter was amazing. What do you do to help this world to become less poor and less racism? Do you treat people with humbleness and love? With your power as a journalist do you help society to thrive for education and better life? Feel your heart and a answer to your own self???

In Australia, when assessing a Prime Minister's approval rating, we often ask, "Would you trust them to watch your kids while you're out for dinner?" Well, as for me, I’d trust President Carter with my life.
    RIP! ❤

12:27 that must have been an extrordinary thing to see. It must be said that the deal killed Sadat and looking at Gaza I don't see peace there.
