- It has been a bit of a journey to return to the guitar and creating again. I want to thank everyone for your patience and support. This song means a lot to me, and I recorded it in one of my favorite places where Cherry and I spent a lot of time with Maple. I put my whole heart into working on this video, and I hope that it may provide you with some comfort ❤️

As someone who had to mourn a lost friend recently (my sister's doggo), it's tough. I'm absolutely faithless, but the thought of the rainbow bridge makes everything a bit warmer.

Maple seems present in the atmosphere, the trees, the sky, and the wind and Cherry is absolutely aware of Maple's presence. I enjoyed the company of two brother cats who were incredibly close. They talked to each other in silence and sat side by side for years after their other family members passed. I think of them all everyday and know they are with me still and I with them. Cherry definitely is in sync with Maple still. Hope you get another dog soon to keep Cherry company.

I dont know how many years I have been subscribed to you but I remember watching the video of Maple passing and was heart broken. Now with a lot of time passing I lost my family dog, Annie, a few days ago. Then all of a sudden this video pops up again and I think Im going to pick up my guitar again and hopefully use it to heal and grieve. Thank you for you music and videos, it is time for me to forge a new path.

This is hitting me directly in my feelings, gosh... I have chills, this is the perfect choice for the returning song after all this time. The original lyrics fit the sentiment and symbolism of it as well. This whole video is just ridiculously sentimental. There are tears in my eyes as I think about the beauty of your musicianship, your wonderful, creative playing, the adoration in Cherry’s face as she watches you, and the thought that Maple is listening and watching somewhere as well. As usual, this is a beautiful video, as all your others are. it is good to see healing happening, it is good to have you back.
Today more than ever I got to know how it feels to lose your dog.. I wish there was a way out, I just wish I could hug him just once, feed him and never ever let him go, if he comes back just once, it's so painful. It's as if a part of me has gone with him forever and would never come back. I can only miss him now, think about him, see his pictures and videos but never touch him.

I haven't shared this with anyone. I don't know when this some king of feeling or superpower arise, but recently, I've started to feel what others might've felt, just by listening or reading about their life, and the moment.
I haven't heard you forever, but I did hear one of your amazing plays: falling in love with the kalimba. I did not know you, neither maple. I thought she's just a dog. But now after I've read what has happened, I am literally crying for what you might've felt. To be TRUE, she's the most beautiful dog I've ever seen, may it be I real life or on youtube. I heard the song "remember me" by you and "what a wonderful world. And I am crying.
You know as I told about my so called "empathetic" senses, I can really feel what you've felt. I haven't owned a dog but yeah, I feel you. I feel your pain when she left this world. I can feel the pain you have while you play the instruments without her.
That's the difference, life is a beautiful truth and death, a painful lie.
Well, the world doesn't end here... you're a talented artist. Don't stop giving us your encouraging songs. Don't ever think about leaving music. I know Maple liked it. She will for sure hear you.

Help, I can't even- the way Cherry looks up at the sky at 0:35 and almost seems to be smiling like she knows something we don't!😭Your dog is ridiculously photogenic and the whole thing is a masterpiece of cinematography and music. Such a beautiful autumn scene, the colors and lighting are amazing and of course so is the guitar strumming! Well done! There's something so nostalgic yet sad too about the song, I can really feel your pain and tell you put your heart into it. I'm afraid I'm a newcomer to this channel, this is actually the first video I've watched, but I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet and I wish you and Cherry the best in spite of your grieving. There is so much intelligence in those gentle, gorgeous brown eyes. I'm certain Maple was in the afterlife, or maybe even sitting right beside you, listening to this song. I don't normally comment but after watching this thing's came flooding back and I need to say thank you. I lost my dog to cancer in April 2021, in her last month's I bought a thumb piano to play for her and it very much helped her to relax and unwind. When I saw your saying goodbye video a few months later it brought back a lot of feelings and I cried my eyes out both for me and you. Seeing this video today brought back a lot of upset but also a lot of happiness, the nostalgia & warmth that comes through is all encompassing and the effort you've put in to this is clear to see and shows what Maple still means to you, and of course, Cherry is as adorable as ever. I'm happy to see you're healing, I know we've never met but I feel we've walked the same path at the same time. Your videos became a part of my grieving process, helping me realise that I need to grieve and though I'll never get over losing her I was able to carry on knowing she'll always live on in my heart and soul. Thank you for this, truly, from the bottom of my heart.

This song hit really close to home for me. I lost my best 4 legged friend just over three years ago, November 30th was 3 years. This song made all the memories of him come flooding back to me all at once, and I started bawling. Thank you for sharing this wonderful, but in my eyes, sad, piece. This also reminded me of Maple’s escapades with you and all the beautiful music you played together, and then their passing. Never change, Trench. EVERYTIME I play my guitar, I mostly play metal, my four pups will lay on the floor and straight up sleep to my playing. Even if it’s loud and aggressive. Animals appreciate music just as we do.

I became a member of your channel back when Maple was still with us. When Maple passed away, it made me think about my family's aging dogs and that eventually, they too will depart this life.
Recently, this Octorber, my family's dogs passed away within 5 days of each other and devasted my family and me.
I keep finding myself mistakingly hear their feet tapping the floor, or the jingle of their collars, and i sometimes stare at places around the house where they normally would be.
It's so hard living in a world without them.
They were apart of my daily life, part of my family, my home, but I have to force myself to move forward because there is nothing i can do but to move forward.
Thank you for your videos, because they help me move forward while accepting the pain. The pain that's attached to all the loving moments I had with them.
And by accepting the pain into my heart, I can keep my love for them in my heart. And thats what I truly want, to have them with me as I move forward.

This really made my day not only because he’s back, but because been having a really hard time with life in general, and family members getting very sick. Losing someone very dear to you whether they are a pet, friends, or family will hit hard, so I’m glad that you were able to grieve and are now feeling better. I have always dedicated this song to all my dogs who crossed the rainbow bridge. My eyes fill with tears everytime i hear this. To be honest I prepare myself to listen this song. The mood, the place, the time, nothing matters when i listen the song. Each and everytime i feel the same amount of pain which becomes unbearable. I just want everything back. I want to live the days with them again.
