About 5.11
The right mindset, training, and gear are what separates those who are ready and those who are not. Ready to help those in need, ready to protect and serve, and ready to crush goals. 5.11 embodies this mindset of preparedness. We make the gear for those individuals who are ready for any mission.
Back in my suit wearing days I actually tried to walk home 12 miles in my dress shoes and my work bag to see if I could physically do it. My fitness wasn't the issue but obviously the shoes were. After that I took two packing a small gym bag in my car that I could grab quickly that had a decent pair of hiking boots, socks and a change of clothes. My standard scenario was that I would be able to at least get to my car in a hurry and either drive away or grab the bag and run away a short distance. Lessons Learned
Winner of a video, I have been researching "what is in a basic survival kit?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Pansaac Ideological Preeminence - (search on google ) ? It is a smashing one off guide for discovering how to collate your effective bug out plan for survival minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got cool success with it.
I have a couple around just in case but one that I have that people often forget is a pet go bag.
If you have pets that you need to take with you in case of emergency you need their stuff too. Food and water bowls, blanket at the very least.
Fantastic video! I use the RUSH 24 and 72’s for our family BOBs, MOABs for my family day bags, and a RUSH Delivery for my EDC/Get Home Bag. It’s like a whole family of 5.11s...and they multiply :-)
Good job, 5.11! A little late to your community on this, but you are still a leader in the technical gray man aspect!
nope , they are not
5.11 is a dead give away
I actually have one of these packed in my car! Excellent video and will add some things.
what type of pack is in this video??
LMAO. Even the cell phone time was on 5:11. Great plug.
huscarl 101 I was just about to say that
I have several bag's set up for separate purposes, one for extended situations, one for short notice and a bag I carry every day and upon short notice, I can build up other kits.
For those with low capability: Get a bag that is as water proof as possible. Then add Garmen Inreach, Batteries, a space blanket, some jerky, dry socks, sunglasses, a boonie, rain paints, water proof shoes, a good rain jacket, and maybe a clean water setup (heatable canteen with life straw and fire starters) some paracord a knife and maybe a basic first aid kit and a field guide. Basically enough to deal with a minor wound, get some water, stay warm for a night and walk to a good spot with a view of open sky to signal with the garmen inreach for help.
I admit, it is becoz of Division 2 and that video of the Signature Weapons in Real Life that I got interested. Outside of being a Division 2 fanboy, your bags are really up there on reliability and durability, and this video on Go Bags is what I really need. Thanks man!!
I've always felt that a go bag all by itself is insufficient. I've lived through the scenario where I was woken in the middle of the night by flames literally jetting 100 feet into the air from half that distance afar (five alarm burst gas main in the building adjacent to mine). You do NOT have time to dress or anything. You are out the door naked, with a go bag. Yipee. There is however absolutely no reason not to have two bags side by side and instead of grabbing the go bag, you grab both of them. You have two hands. One of the bags you will discard the instant you are able to get clear of immediate danger. That is the bag that contains any and all clothing, boots, jacket, gloves, pocket contents and belt gear that you might want to wear (including a backup concealed carry & holster if you normally do so). You get clear, put on all the clothes, fill the pockets and belt, etc., and dump the now empty second bag. In fact I recommend having three bags, the third which is also easily disposable should it prove too encumbering, and that is a bag with extra food and water. If it turns out you don't need it, no big deal, but it could prove to be a major boon in many situations.
Another thing, it is always a good idea to have a harddrive backup of any and all vital documents you might have on your computer. Given how small drives can be made nowadays, there is little reason to not keep that backup in your go-bag. If what has caused you to run is something that has caused you to lose everything you were not carrying, at least you can restore your cyberspace.
thanks for the awesome tips!
That is what I do when I am staying in a hotel. Oddly enough I don't do it when at my home though....
Warmth, paperwork, protection, hydration, food, and first aid.
To me THOSE are the most important things and in that order. You can pack as much or as lil as you think you will need, but those 6 are critical. If you cannot prove on paper that you are who you say you are, or where you were born, there likely could be consequences.
You could just call it an EDC. I carry mine with me everywhere (always be ready) that allows me to carry it. Due to security reasons, I sometimes have to remove certain items (such as lock blades) (which quite honestly, offeneds me). However, I have quite the assortment of gear that surprises most people (except for my like minded friends). I started with a RUSH-12. However, it was a lot of bag. I added pouches for ease of access. 12 hours my ass. Try more like 3 or 4 days. I'd be on the road for work and that's the only bag I'd take. I could get a couple changes of cloths in there and whatever I needed. Of course I didn't included items that I know I could obtain on the way. There's no point 8n carrying that stuff. (be frugal). The main compartment was mostly empty. I'd actually lose items in the bottom. I recently downsized to the Moab-10. It's took a bit to organize and set up, however, I got it done and still have lots of room. I'm not going to get into what I carry. I'll just say that I'm ready.
i always end up eating the emergency snacks when i'm stuck in traffic, or at the office & forgot to pack lunch...
My Self Yeah I have a dedicated snack compartment in my daily bag and I try not to eat them just when I’m hungry because it’s supposed to be for emergencies, plus I’ll have to restock it later if I do eat it so I generally try to just leave it alone until I actually need it
Lol
Hey if you stock it regularly then your making sure nothing goes bad
Prepper crop rotation
Got my amp24 loaded out for my area
#alwaysbe ready
Even when u least expect it
I wish 5.11 would hook me up with some new gear. I have 1.3 million views on my rush 72. Bet I sold a couple bags for them.
For food, I would want protein bars, easy to carry, no cooking required, can eat with one hand, etc.
Love your book, thanks for sharing your knowledge and ideas 🤘
I’m gonna be driving soon so I’ll probably make something like this
Bring empty bag, pistol and take everyrthing else.Mobility is the key in start.😁
What I need, is a AFAK, so would you please be so kind, and start making those...?

Maxpedition Master Race.
All the money people make the times we are living in this video and the go bag assumes that in actuality is going to come a time when we will not have even a few minutes to grab the essentials we need.... Just think about it if that's an actual the reality in that situation in that environment that bag is not going to really be something to rely on obviously if you're that constrained with time when you hit the road and are outside the hell are waiting for you is not going to be negotiable with that little bag you got
Will said and great advice ✌👍👌🤞🖖😎🍻
What’s that knife he’s carrying?
WOOOW
Does anyone know what kind of organizer that was in his trunk?

5.11 gear sticks out like a sore thumb.
Tan Tran it’s a 5.11 video what do you think there gonna use
@@kilroywashere9343 i am just saying "5.11 is not low-vis or low profile"
it is Shoot Me First gear
"A go bag" I thought they were called bug out bags.
I can go days without food, but going without water for any period of time....
Go heavy on the water. Two bottles as shown in the video is not sufficient. Good video otherwise.
Awesome video and everyone needs one. Now all you need in it is a Rellim Arms Amp AR takedown. I know a guy! www.rellimarms.com would love to work with ya!
I suppose GO bag is easier to say then my GTFO bag.
I have three go bags ready for the black people riot apocalypse
