I made a Christmas unit myself using books and online free printables. We start the last week of November right before the first Sunday of Advent. My daughter is in Kindergarten and last year I did something simpler but similar and we enjoyed it a lot. Our family is VERY into Christmas in every aspect, so a lot of movies will get sprinkled in, we watch Holiday baking shows from Food Network, we have multiple advent calendars ( one to color, one with Chocolate and our main one that leads us to our 24 days of bookmas... yes, 24 books or activity books to unwrap, its a little excessive but we love reading!), we incorporate short devotionals or bible scripture as well. So we will be fully immersed in the holidays ❤

My husbands family are Indian Christians and there are actually LOTS of Indian Christmas traditions- chai, fruit cake, and paper star lanterns etc. It’s super interesting to consider how Christians celebrate Christmas when they are a historically persecuted minority.

We will study Squanto the week of Thanksgiving and the two weeks before Christmas We're doing the DIY Homeschooler Silent Night mini Unit study along with our regular math curriculum. It will be very light but we will still be doing something while keeping everything very Christ centered for December.

We bought “Unwrapping the Greatest Gift” this year! I’m excited to start. Our main unit is Christmas Around the World by Gather Round this year.

Because of you we have fallen in love with the Jessie tree 🌳 book. We read it last year and will be bringing it back this year. We also made ornaments for our tree. Thank you so much for bringing it in our lives. ❤

Is there a link to getting the animal companion pack? I don't get technology very well. Sorry if I missed it. Thank you.

I bought a Thanksgiving unit from Brighter Press and I’m extending it to work all month. For December, I’m probably going to use Read Aloud Revival’s new Christmas unit for premium members, along with an advent devotional book for my denomination.

Oh so many fun things to check out here! I wasn't as detailed in my video as I should have been....I wish I had explained more of what we're doing....but in reality we ARE very laid back in December as we're doing Year Round Homeschooling this year for the first time.

I know I have seen you share it before but it didn't even click until this video but I found that Unwrapping the Greatest Gift book in nearly perfect condition at our local thrift shop for FIFTY CENTS!!!! I almost overlooked it because we already have so many Christmas books, then I saw it was an advent style (which we didn't have) and decided to grab it. I'm excited to dive into it this year!

I love the Christmas and holidays around the world! We do a lot of homeschool/learning at Disney so we love going to epcot with the girls to learn about how different cultures celebrate! But I would love to learn about other countries other than those at EPCOT!

I really want to add in the Jessie tree book and tradition! We did add the Usborne book advent calendar this year, ( which I completely forgot to talk about in my video 🤣). Looking forward to doing that, on your suggestion!

Thank you for making this video and these collaborations, it helps give me ideas for our homeschool and keeps us inspired throughout the year. I just purchased the Slow and Sacred Advent and we are so excited to start it, thanks for the recommendation! Didn't know about the mini units for FIAR, that will be great for Thanksgiving. Hope your family has a great holiday season!

Ok this video like gave me life. Lol! I was frantically writing notes about the geography project because next year we are using the Christmas around the world unit from gather round and it would pair perfectly! I'm thinking doing that with my older 3 and the peaceful press with my younger two (which I'm about to head off to go look into!) Also, we LOVE the cranberry books! We just today made the cranberry bread from the book! We are doing cranberry Christmas too :)
