My daughter sent me a clip as soon as this dropped and I saw Ronnie in a cowboy hat and went, "Oh no." I'm obsessed with everything he does but I do. not. like. country. music. In any iteration. I gave myself a pep talk the entire drive home that I can handle it if I happen to not like a song he does. I'll make it through. It won't affect my love for everything else. It will be ok. Why does this combination work so well? I suppose it makes sense in a way since they both share a common ancestor in the blues. In the end, I guess it doesn’t matter. The country rock mashup with that DJ vinyl scratching sounding effect in the background had me 😂 And then the rainbow with the f-ing unicorn/pegasus and the octopus and everything 😂 I'm reserving my masterpiece rating for the likes of Without a Whisper (Reimagined) by Invent Animate, but this was solidly delicious!
