Hej Katrin, I really looked forward the next Swedish video!! 😊 I would like to learn some family, friends and relationship words and phrases. And maybe about freetime or hobby. Tack så mycket your help!! 😊
Tack Carine
I love that you are bring back this series. It's my favorite. It's fascinating to hear how English has so many words that come from the Scandinavian language groups.
@@nikolayvmarinov That too but I was specifically calling out the Scandinavian connection because of the direct influence of the Danes, Swedes etc on modern English which I am also aware is Germanic in it's roots.
Hej Katrin! Och tack för dina goda videos. Du välkomnade alla dina svenska vänner, men också jag, och jag tror att också många andra finnar, tycker att titta och lyssna de här videos. Med hälsning! JK
I shaved my hair off about two weeks ago and it’s one of the best decisions I ever made. I love not having to worry about it anymore; it’s incredibly liberating. You look gorgeous with the blonde, it really suits you!
How do you say MOAR in Swedish?? MORE!!! MOAR!!! MEHR!!! Make more slow Swedish. Offer lessons. MOAR! I found you on YT by searching for slow spoken Swedish. Perfect!
So glad to see you back! I’d love to see a fashion/clothing based video, where you talk about your style or getting ready in Swedish. It would be so useful!
yaayyy! i’m so happy that you’re back! i’ve been learning swedish for about a year and a half now and i still don’t understand swedish grammar. i would love if you made a video about swedish grammar! thank you!! ☺️ also: i buzzed my hair too about 2 months ago and i love it and hate it at the same time haha. my hair was just EXTREMELY dead
You look very beautiful with short hair. Only people with striking features can pull it off so well. To answer your question yes I have shaved mine off before twice and it took ages to grow back, but that's cause of the tight coils in my hair. Thanks for the slow Swedish video. It is encouraging to see that I can actually understand many words that I miss when people rap. Hej då vi ses.
Looking forward to some new Swedish videos 😻 It would be interesting to watch a video where you compare some English and Swedish words that sound similar but mean different things, the ones where English speaking people often make mistakes when learning Swedish... I don't know if there are some good examples but I feel like it's a very common issue between similar languages, in Spanish and Italian for example
Great video! Very happy that you are back. My partner and I moved to Sweden to study here and love it so far! In terms of topics it would be great to learn a bit about smalltalk at parties or in uni :)) cant wait for more videos! Tack så mycket :)
I'm so glad you're back ! I was hoping you could make a video about your favourite songs in Swedish since they are a good way to learn some new vocabulary ☺
Makeup tutorial på svenska? It would be interesting to know what the Swedish words for certain products are, plus useful command like "blend, tap, apply, draw, fill, etc" would be fun to learn!
Thank you so much for your videos, they help me so much! I love it!! I've been searching for ages good swedish videos which would entertain me. And your kind of videos are perfect, because it doesn't feel I am studying swedish and I look for the words which I don't understand on the dictionary just because I am curious about what you are saying :). By the way, you are so beautiful, I just can't believe it!
Välkommen tillbaka, Jag tror att det är bra om du pratar med lite fortare hastighet. och det som behövs att lära oss är slang ord och meningar. tack för dina videor //Mvh Hosam.
Welcome back! So excited you're are making these again :D I love your short hair! I thought about shaving mine awhile ago and in summer it would definitely help with the heat but I just know I wouldn't be able to pull it off lol

Wow! Awesome! I am going to visit friends in Sweden. How about you play us a whole dialog of such an encounter, playing all parts in a conversation. Hi Steve, how was your flight? Fine thank you, and your wife? The weather has been dreadful. How long are you staying? It gets dark early in this season. And so forth. Whole back-and-forth conversations on trivial common subjects. Great stuff! Thank you! (Can we see the whole tattoo?)
Hej katrin! I have never shaved my head and i am not sure if i would or not. I have very long natural blonde hair, down to my lower back. I think it is beautiful but sometimes it does get heavy or tiresome always moving it out of the way or wearing it up in a bun or pony tail. Ive recently learned that braids seem to be the best way to wear it out of my face without hurting my head. Thanks for the videos. Can u take us around a farm? That sounds fun to me!
About 7 years ago, I woke up one morning, handed my then wife some clippers and told her to cut my hair off. 30 minutes later I whet from hair about half a meter long to hair about a centimetre long. I kept it short for maybe another two years, but it's been about five years, I think, since I last had my hair cut, at all. Haven't trimmed it or anything and it now goes all the way down my back. I prefer having long hair, but I do want to cut it for charity one day. I just want to get it to a length where I can cut off a fair bit of the length while still having the hair that's left be a length that I like. So maybe in another year or two :P
To speak Swedish (and sound correct) do you have to somewhat push your throat muscles down? There's a lot of pronunciation things I dont catch when you speak just because I'm not smart enough linguistically to realize what's happening.
I am learning it and it's rather straight forward as for grammar and words, especially if you know German too since it has a lot of German cognates and loanwords. The most difficult parts are the prononciation and the orthography. It's not just a matter of the individual sounds, rather the fact that it has two accents, and that words are pronounced differently when unstressed or when stressed.
Could you please explain Swedish pitch accent (accent två) in some of your videos , personally I find it very difficult, but there are so few videos about that.
(My Swedish isn't good enough to post in it yet but soon it will be) I just use the videos for listening practice so the subject could be anything. Why not tongue twisters or poetry? I have shaved my head once out of curiosity. Very cold.
Is your Swedish good enough, Ty Bowen, to talk a little bit based on these wonderful videos by Katrin, per Telegram, for example (to practice Swedish)?
At the beginning I just heard a beautiful girl talking really strange and ugly. But having watched a few videos with.english subtitles it became really helpful. It would be great that this method would be used by another languages teachers
Ida Drozdowicz I think you would enjoy watching "Allt för Sverige" (Everything for sweden). It's a serie where 10 americans get to come to sweden and compete to get to know more about their swedish roots. So it's mixed with both swedish and english and it's filled with swedish history as well
Alina Kovaleva I agree 100% and have been searching RUclips forever trying to find a video breaking down how to pronounce or make this sound as a native English speaker
In Finland we have to learn Swedish in school, because we have a 6% minority of swedish speaking finns. It's insane. Everyone studies swedish for 4-7 years because of a rich minority of a few 100 000 people. I hate swedish. But these videos are helpful, although the way swedes speak swedish is a lot different from the way people here do.
