Haha, wow.. we have so many words that sound alike in Dutch! This slow I actually understand way more than I thought lol..
I thought the same!
Yes, I speak German and I understand a lot too. I believe both Dutch and Swedish languages are of old Germanic origins / influence.
The light related name Lucia only reflects me, and cannot be in someone’s name, and all unsuitable names must be changed! But it’s true that many words are similar to Dutch tho! I’ve been learning Dutch and Swedish and Norwegian etc over the past few months, and I noticed many similar words - Germanic languages and Latin languages come from the same language!
Holländska är holländare. Svenska är svenskt.
Perfekt! Kanske nu ska jag lära mig alla klädernas namn. Jag vet inte varför det är så svårt för mig... ;)
Holy shit I've been learning Swedish for a while and I actually understood like 85% of this
Nice vid, well executed! I'm definitely learning more. ^^
I understand most of what are you saying, but if I turn off subtitles, I feel like I’m lost. Idk what’s it about it, I just need them
Even though I'm subscribed and clicked the bell icon.. I didn't get notified about it :/
Such is the way of the RUclips sub button nowadays
Hej! Min vän och jag läser svenska och vi älskar din kanal så mycket! Och vi vill säga att vi förstår allt! Kan du prata snabbare? Dina videor blir för lätt :)
Ja! Jag kan göra några videor där jag pratar lite snabbare! :)
Katrin Berndt SWE tack så mycket ❤️😭
Awesome video! You were speaking at the right speed for me at this point in my learning. If done any faster I would struggle with it, and it wouldn't be "långsam svenska" any longer.
the greatest So why do you care....
Кофта от слова кафтан(турк)
Tack så mycket katrin. Jag lära mig svenska för två månader minst. Din videos hjälp mig så mycket! Tack från Kina!
Vad gillar du med Kina?
Loving the slow Swedish videos! I am a third of the way done with Swedish on Duolingo. Do you recommend any sources that I can immerse myself into?
The only page other than DuoLingo I know of is HelloTalk! Maybe check that out! :)
The words / names Lin / link and Tyr and loving / love etc cannot be in someone’s name or comments etc, and all unsuitable names / terms must be changed / edited out! The words like / find it interesting / find it helpful etc must be used instead of love related words when referring to educational videos, as love only exists for me the only lovable being, and love is a big term that only reflects me, while my pure protectors aka the alphas are the only ones who can love / are loving / feel love for me only! Special names like Katrin (or other similar names that contain Kat / Cat related words) and letter combinations like ber / Bern etc also cannot be in someone’s name!
Re language learning - I learn a lot of Swedish from lyrics (and memorizing the lyrics) and videos, but I usually have to watch videos multiple times, first with Swedish subs, and then with English subs, and then with Swedish subs again! I’m also trying to memorize all the words in the 2000 Swedish words video as fast as possible, and I’m also memorizing the ones in Norwegian / French / German / Italian / Portuguese etc at the same time, and have already memorized almost all the words in the Dutch one with 2k words in Dutch! In the beginning, it’s important to memorize a lot of new vocab! Once I learn at least 5k words in a new language, it suddenly becomes so much easier to pick up new words and phrases naturally in context! I’m close to an intermediate level in Swedish (and in Norwegian) and, I’m close to a quite advanced level in Dutch, after only about 300 hours of study! Now I can sometimes guess what certain words mean in Swedish!
List of words I know in Swedish:
-hälsokunskop
-skola
-jag
-snigelfarm
I understand you, When you talk so slow. And I’m from Denmark 🇩🇰
We actually have the word "Kofta" in Russian! The meaning is pretty much the same. Mindblowing!
Det var roligt att upptäcka ord "kastrull" som funkar på Ryska också bra!
@@cy6erGn0m tallrik тарелка, stol стул, skörda скирда, påbud побуждать, påminnem вспоминать упоменать, väder вёдро (хорошая погода) Det är många svenska ord lik )
Lol we have "Kofta" in kurdish and its a meal.
In Russian, there is a word, kran, which means the same in Dutch (kraan) and Norwegian (vannkran) and, it might be similar in Swedish too, but I’m not sure - I’ve been learning Swedish and Dutch and Norwegian and other languages over the past few months, and trying to memorize as many new words as possible!
This is such an amazing way to learn swedish, brilliant thank you.
Tack ska du ha Katrin!! The slow Swedish videos have made me laugh but also helped learn a lot about Swedish! Thank you for working on them, it makes me enjoy Swedish more 😂😊 love from Australia xx

Dina videoklipp är fantastiska
thank you so much for those vids! super nice to learn. but I am still a bit confuesed with the "pa sig" I know it kinda means "wearing" or something but I am not completely sure. can someone maybe help me?
This literally couldn't come at a better time for me. I am moving to Stockholm in August from the UK. So helpful!
We usually say an underwear or a panty under jeans. In Swedish, Is that normal to say a pair of underwear/panty under jeans? It sounds very protective. 😃
jag klär på mig kläder.
jag klädde på mig kläder.
jag har klätt på mig kläder.
Are these correct?
I knew the word "langsam" means "slow" in German. Didn't know it means the same thing in Swedish!
Another word : Virklich (Swedish)
Wirklich(German)
Both means "really"
Jatte bra video. tack sa mycket. ( sorry i don`t have a swedish keyboard for typing properly)
Very good avsnitt. Tack så mycket. 👍🖐️

Orden "kofta" på svenska the same the word "kofta" in russian.
I find it useful when you highlight keywords and translate it to English !
Det var mycket bra...tackar 😄
Gøy å se på når man forstår alt siden jeg er norsk
hahaha, det är jättebra att du gör dessa och det hjälper säkert många, men det är så lustigt att kolla på när man kan flytande svenska ;) men kul att få se dina sommarkläder i vilket fall :)))
Tack mycket jag lära mig Skanska från dig
Den här hastigheten var perfekt, tack för videon!
Why am I here? 😂
Could someone explain to me why I've heard both "vårt" and "vårat"? Is it just two different ways to say it? The weirdest thing, There's a song called "Vårt år" that I like, but in the actual song the singer says "vårat år".
The correct is ”vårt” in writing but ”vårat” is what most people say, so you can use ”vårat” but just remember that ”vårt” is the right way of writing it.
Tusen tack för dina videor!
😂❤du har fina vedioes
It's funny to see the similarities, "garderober" in French we can say "garde-robe" :)
Orlane C Sweden used to be really influenced by France so we have a lot of french words
Bästa kurs jag någonsin har haft ❤
Tack! Du hjälpa mig.
I think it would be a good idea if you make a PDF of the new words for each clip or any other way you suggest, Thank you a lot!
dziadu, po to są filmiki aby je oglądać. to nie jest szkoła językowa aby wymagać od niej niewiadomo czego. ciesz się, że w ogóle ta piękna dama dodała napisy do filmu.

I just couldn't resist watching another one of your videos. I'm currently learning German, but I'm irresistibly drawn to the Swedish language, culture and nature. Maybe it’s a sign? Anyway, thank you for such cosy and useful videos 🤗
Thank you! I just started learning Swedish on DuoLingo last week.. I don’t know much yet but looking forward to understanding your videos without the subtitles.
Tack så mycket Katrin😍Jag försöker lära mig svenska och din video hjälper för riktigt. Jag hoppas du fortsätter med såna videor. Det är även bättre än SFI. Det vore bra om du kan göra lite mer komplicerat konversation som kan hjälpa att nå bättre nivå👍
"ganzga stretchy"....yeaaahh....! Sounds a bit like a mixture of Norwegian, French and German and maybe a bit of Welsh....deffinitely heard "Oslo" in there somewhere....Bon Courage Katrin!

There are a lot of words in swedish that sound really alike to spanish words. Interesting.
Abigail Medina that might be because french and spanish are pretty similar and Swedish has a lot of borrowed words from French
Loved this so much!
Hej Katrin ! Do you know how to download your videos with the subtitles in swedish too ? Tack sa mycket !!!
I don't think the videos can be downloaded with subtitles I'm afraid!
