What a fantastic video this was. I realize that I'm a year late, but your video was wonderful. I'm from England, and a lover of vintage clothing from the 1940s and older. It's such a pleasure to see such polished and thorough explanation of the finer details of a quality made suit; and how to distinguish it from today's manufactured rubbish on the high street. Definitely a wonderful education for those getting started. From the moment I clicked on your video, I knew that I was in good company, with a Gentleman who knew what he was talking about. I subscribed and liked before you even asked. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the results of the alterations. I recently found a rare suit myself, an almost unheard of peak lapel, double breasted Welsh Tweed suit from the 1940s. I had the trousers let out because I love I wide leg to my trousers, and a 10.5 inch leg opening. Of course being English, I had to keep the turn ups! Wonderful video once again.
@@AstepAbove21 Absolutely. I love the weight of vintage garments also, especially for the clothes worn in the colder months..Weight equal warmth usually. And because of all the hand work, the garments mould to your body after a number of wears

I'm sure your tweed suit gets a lot of wear in the fall/winter. Vintage clothing just had a different level of quality.

Great find! I like the houndstooth pattern, but i will definetly wear this suit with a pastel shirt,or off white so its kinda matching it
Country fabrics like this definitely go well with variations of blues and yellow tones. Good eye👍🏾.
Great video. It’s not wire around the button holes, it’s a thick thread call gimp
Correct.
Old school BB did two buttons on their jackets. Lots of other brands copied them back then.
I didn't know that. Definitely check out part 2 of this video.
I can't wait to see this after the alterations
Just you wait😎 it will be worth it.
