You're video just helped me out big time. I didn't know exactly how to do the bushings at the end of the trailing arm connecting to the leaf spring till I saw how you had yours. Thank you.
Your directions are by far the clearest and simplest I have seen and provides very clear instruction that a home garage enthusiast can follow in their garage. Thank you very much.
Just a FYI for those who can weld. If you run a bead (TIG is best but MIG will work) right around the middle of the race they will simply fall out. No beating necessary. Did this for years on steering head races on motorcycles where you couldn't get a chisel on the lip. Great video just have to wait for the rebuild kits to be back in stock now.
Was it necessary at the end to remove the spindle since you were replacing the whole assembly? (or was that just for demonstration for someone that wants to replace the bearings and races without pulling the assembly) Thanks. Great video.
Correct. at the end of the video I was showing how it was possible to remove the spindle, bearing and race components without removing the trailing arm. I will recommend removing the trailing arm from the body to rebuild it. It makes it a lot easier and you can replace the trailing arm bushing at the same time.
What is the approximate diameter of the shims? I've ordered all the bearings prior to watching your video and I can't seem to find the shim sizes. Thanks
This is the kit I used. The tools worked really well and it came with timken bearings. Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for the subscription. I'm definitely a fan of your videos. 😊 www.ebay.com/itm/191684133936.
@@TCBGARAGE Thank you friend. I enjoyed your video also. That may be my next project on my C3 Corvette. I pulled the trailing arms before and did the bushing but did not have the tools for the bearing.
This video was great! I just brought home a 1970 c3

Thank you for the compliment. That's exactly what I was trying to do with the video. Thanks for watching.

Good job explaining it, last time 1996 when I did set up Back then just Manual's no you tube 👍
Thanks for posting , that's probably the only thing I haven't done on my C3
You're welcome It's really not too hard. Thanks for watching.
Did you have any issues with runout using the different spindles with the old rotors?
Nice job.. I appreciate your video!!
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Very informative video! Where exactly did you get that rebuild kit? I can’t seem to find the one you got with the tools and all
I found the kit on Ebay last March.
Me either, what’s the item number? Or a link for the whole kit. Thanks
Great video, what’s the item number Or a link for the whole kit. Can’t find it. Thanks

Can't remember off hand. I bought mine as a completed kit.
Didn't go over how to install the bearing seals. How do you do this?
You just hammer the seal into the bearing housing. Use a piece of 2x4. Hope this helps.
Need to SEE the steps to remove the items etc. NOT just after they're removed . Those steps are MOST important
Do you have a link to the rebuild kit with special tools?
This is the kit I used. The tools worked really well and it came with timken bearings. Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for the subscription. I'm definitely a fan of your videos. 😊
