Hey Mark, I’ve been in the discord and actively trying to report bugs and performance issues. When looking at the replies of the developers, it gives me the feeling that they are more interested or prioritising the Steam/PC version more than anything else. They say that the Switch performance has priority, but only when it comes to the Switch itself, not overall. I feel a bit f*cked over by the developer. Probably gonna send Nintendo an email so that they can give me my money back.

I was really looking forward to this one which sucks. That recent direct really didn't fly with me so I'm now looking forward to Borderlands 3, Batman Trilogy, Mario Wonder, Mario RPG. I was dying to play the metal gear vol 1 but that has been ruined by what looks like a shoddy port. And as always, SEE YA!
I jumped on the hype train after seeing this on the Nintendo Direct and bought it right at launch. I 110% agree with everything you said. With a good patch this game could be ao much better. I played it for about an hour or so and it is a lot of fun but those stutters! Also thanks a ton for the tip about the acceleration! Made playing with the bow much better!
What I did with Black Skylands. Played it for about an hour only just got to the first sky ship, and the lag was real and controls were not working for me. I hope it gets patched, and with the option of customisable controls, because it does look like a fun game!

What gives is barely anybody uses gyro and the first thing most people do upon starting up a game on Switch is turn gyro off and forget it's even there.
I almost bought this at launch but decided to wait for your review after seeing some other reviews suggesting it wasn't all that great, even on other platforms. Too bad, because this game has a lot of potential and some pretty cool ideas. I hope the devs will patch this up, and also push some updates that fix some of the issues with gameplay overall. Appreciate your review.

Sad hearing about the performance and lack of Gyro..it was top on my eShop wishlist so glad I didn't download it last night - Hoping the next Nintendo hardware launch makes Gyro a native X/Y binding -

That's too bad. Being from Beamdog, I went ahead and ordered a physical copy. Hopefully they get the performance patched up before those carts are printed and we get an All Patched Up episode :)

Honestly this did interest me but I was getting worried that it was never listed in the upcoming games or to be pre-ordered. When it just popped into the store I thought all was good but I guess it's a good thing I can't afford it this month and was going to wait a month or two.

Kind of wanna just get it on PlayStation and wait til the new switch comes out to get it cause the stutters are just too much for me when I can enjoy it on PlayStation but I enjoyed your viewpoints and look forward to enjoying the game with a smoother frame rate 😂
Seeing this immediately reminded me of the D&D Cartoon from the 80’s which I used to watch. Such a shame it doesn’t perform and make it the game you know it can be. As I have a massive backlog I’ll await an ‘all patched up’ video before I buy this. (Oh and it will need implementation of motion controls)
There should be some sort of standard set by the consoles themselves. If the company (devs) can’t make a game run to that standard it shouldn’t get released. It’s basically ripping people off. I had my eye on this one…..gutted!
The game got patched and it runs much better now! There're still some texture issues but it's enjoyable nonetheless. I don't know about the online though...
@@burninghammer83single player runs just fine. Combat is much fluid. The only moments I got lags were when defeating the last enemy of the room. It's like the game is processing the level is cleared or something. Other than that it's a solide 30 fps.

That said, I’m currently struggling through No Man’s Sky that runs like a pensioner and crashes like a Tesla on Switch - Mythforce looks way better behaved than that (just one crash in three hours? The luxury!) and I see people saying NMS in its current iteration is great. What am I missing?

No what we need it some form of quality control and insurance by nintendo for the products they allow to be released on there platform. Seeing as the SAME companys KEEP putting out these half bakes games a year early. With no play test. Then dumb consumers blame the console.... 🤦♂️
Seems most games that come these days aren't ready for public. I know all games can't get the love of TOTK but damn this is old after years of dropping ges that need at least 3 to 6 months more work sometimes more just sad.

Oh god, dropping the FOV, no, nooooo Sorry Starfield PTSD, default is a vomit enducing 70, thankfully fixable in console commands. This looked so good, but playing the demo on Steam about 3 months ago, I hated it, the horrid blur that happens after shooting with the bow to show fatigue, is just a visually impaired persons nightmare. Add in the actual gameplay, it was so so soooooo bare bones. Huge open areas with bugger all. Truly can't judge a game by it's cover cause this still does look brilliant, but it's just utterly mid
Thanks for helping me save money. This is disappointing. Games like this know they have to compete with the big boys. However they won't get the benefit of the doubt with a half baked experience. It will be a sale and patched up buy ...maybe. I wasn't big on roguelite stuff already but now oh no. Any way to save any progression for a run?

We simply need more fantasy first person rpgs/roguelikes with old-school DnD vibes. I played PC demo and it was good. Fingers crossed for patch. 🤞

I really do enjoy the style of the game. Also, no gyro in FPS in 2023 is just wrong. What gives.
I feel like at this point the devs all have actual numbers on how many people use gyro. And i feel like it's about 12 people.
