I’m so incredibly sorry to hear that you’ve had to deal with such awful discrimination and treatment. I don’t know much about the service dog laws in other countries, but I really want to learn and even spread awareness about the laws in different countries and not just in the United States. I wish there was something I could do to help. I only wish that someday you get justice for what was done to you and your service dog🫶🏼😔
I’m sorry would you feel comfortable talking more about this? We only have assistance dogs here in Australia as they’re not called service dogs (service dogs here are what are known as police, army, airport and fire & rescue dogs ect). I’m also unsure which permit you applied for as under the DDA you don’t require a permit but with the required proof of an assistance dog you can apply for a transport card (they cannot legally deny you unless you do not provide the correct proof that your dog is an assistance dog). For that early socialization window that all pups have we used a satchel that I had on my chest and we sat outside in parks, inside the entrance of pet friendly places and treated him for just observing and for occasionally looking to me. Although I sometimes wish I’d have kept his stroller instead of just keeping his satchel because he did end up getting way to heavy for me by 3-3 1/2 months old.
