Awesome tune! I've loved this since the day you first uploaded it. It would sound mighty on a five-string fiddle with a low C. I think that will be a project of mine when I own one. Thanks for the music, Nigel! :)

Nigel makes it look so easy - but it’s not. It’s the kind of “easy” that takes decades to master! The real joy I got from this video was watching Nigel having fun and sharing it all in his beautifully understated British style, complete with Elgar’s NIMROD on the piano rack.😀

@@copperleaves thanks so much peter. I can't play the nimrod score I own unfortunately, it's an absolute sod

I know 20 people who could sight read that NIMROD score note-perfect, from start to finish, but there’s only ONE Nigel Eaton!😀

    Hello Mr. Eaton,
Thank you very much for these tutorials. They make learning your beautiful but complex pieces much easier. It's a great idea.
I started playing the hurdy-gurdy four years ago. I really like your repertoire and ended up trying to learn two or three pieces from your repertoire. So I started with BRETON STRIPES and HALSWAY CAROL.
I'm trying to learn THE MIGHTY SPEEWAY at the moment, so your video is perfect timing.
After that, I'd like to play LEFT HAND JACK and then INDOOR TREE.
The biggest difficulties I'm having are with the rhythm of your fabulous and mysterious handle stroke, and of course, being French, understanding exactly what's explained in English.
I apologize for my broken English, but I hardly ever use it.
Thank you again for taking the time to read me, and I hope you'll publish more tutorials.
