Actually I think this what my mom is into. My says she is believer and Christian but doesn't act it. Her behavior when she's frustrated or angry is very toxic /narcissist. She has foul mouth. She could be loving sometime in a decent mood. But she did alot questionable stuff when I was younger that I never understood (Burning stuff but wasn't sage, and talking to Mary candle light when something bad happens) She even be telling relatives and friends about dreams she be having. Most aren't decent dream, but concerning.And I have never seen her pray outside of church.

I’m with you sis, I used it yesterday for the smell but I don’t think using it for the smell is worth the potential effects it can cause in our lives. Smoking weed also makes ppl calm but the long term effects simply add up and makes them even more stressed in the end! Hope this makes sense!

This is a poor example. Why??? Two reasons. 1. We do not know if the Lord planted eeed here or if it was something created in labs just like some fruits have been created in labs and planted. 2. The things yall are smoking has so many things added to it before it gets to you to be smoked. If you were to consume weed in its purest form, your “high” wouldn’t be anywhere near what it is now.

I used to watch Ghost Adventures a lot, I kept up with every episode. I notice they would get a priest to burn sage to 'protect' the house from evil entities. I quit watching it about 6 years ago because I would have nightmares every time and overall couldn't get sleep. I whole heartedly believe I got acquainted with insomnia because of being interested in these scary things. I still have really bad sleep I have to take meds for or else I'll have intense myoclonus, but looking back, it just doesn't make sense to use witchcraft again witchcraft. Sage is an herb that God created. Use it to honor God and pray when you use it. You could burn it for multiple reasons. It doesn't have to be for "keeping evil away" use it in a good way.

But burning fragrant incense sticks is not bad, it really gives a sense of freshness. In church also they burn pure Loban during the Roman catholic mass service in India. And Fragrant incense was gifted to Baby Jesus by the 3 wise kings. It's like love and respect for him. I don't think burning it is a sin. Who doesn't like their room being Fragrant? And praying while the incense is burning and giving positive intentions is also not a sin. This is practiced in every culture all over the world. Smudging is no different. You can spray a room freshner but it won't be natural. It's a fact that when evil spirits are around, you get a really rotten smell suddenly in the middle of the night out of no where. And they don't like good fragrance spaces. Prayer is a must but burning incense is not a sin. It was a precious gift given to the Kings and Queens in ancient times including a birthday gift for Jesus. It's like wearing a perfume to feel good, that's not a sin. We must learn something good from every culture/religion. But don't follow it blindly. Take something good from every religion / culture. Do your own research and don't believe anyone blindly.
I looked this subject up cause my moms been having anger spurs. I came home today it smelled funny then I saw a bowl with burnt sage. She still had an angry spur on my stepfather. She's messing up by not putting God first. She says she "sages in the name of Jesus" I disagree. Jesus alone is enough. You can't put him with these other beliefs. I’d say there’s a difference between burning sage ceremonially and burning sage for aroma. God created sage. Sage is great on chicken with pepper, garlic, salt and rosemary. It smells nice when burned in a bundle. It’s a whole different thing if I waft it and call out to the ancestors for protection, or put trust in it to cleanse my household of spirits. It’s the action of faith that opens spiritual doors good or bad. “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Satan operates under the same premise. I’m not advocating for Ouija boards whatsoever, they should be nowhere near your home, but if one were in your home it is not an open door for demons until you place your fingers on the thing and ask it a question in faith that an answer will come. That opens the spiritual door. Faith. Any ceremony is acting in faith because you believe the ceremony accomplishes something. I’m still putting sage on my chicken. Sage is an herb that God created. Use it to honor God and pray when you use it. You could burn it for multiple reasons. It doesn't have to be for "keeping evil away" use it in a good way.

When you use anything like that for spiritual purposes, it will be a straight up invitation for wicked things to enter your space. God gave us Jesus; Who gave us Holy Spirit; Who wants to activate His extraordinary power through us, and most definitely our space. When we do things like that, it takes away the faith we should have in Him and what He will do for us and our environment if we just ask and pray, and worship Him… (Praising Him for His greatness and thanking Him for what He’s already done.) The Scripture in His Word is the only tool (weapon) we need. The Bible is literally our sword of the Spirit. The only thing that is guaranteed to work. When we try to add to what is already enough (God), it’s idolatry. I hope this helps; I only hope to add value for the Kingdom of The Lord. I’m in the process of sharing this information with a friend who mentioned doing this “smudging” which is witchcraft in a nutshell. Trying to explain to her about yoga, too. And the devil is mad about it, because he hates being exposed. That alone should be telling people about how threatened the enemy is by people sharing information that will tear down his dark kingdom. I’ve used sage to bring calmness and peace into a room especially when we have so many people that could be smelling like all sorts of things. I think it’s ignorance to say it’s demonic, it’s a plant that smells nice and has a particular energy which changes the room, incense were always used in religions for these purposes especially frankincense and myrrh
He has on experience mines worked for me. Maybe the Sage is not for everyone but is numerous other herbs that also helps.

But burning fragrant incense sticks is not bad, it really gives a sense of freshness. In church also they burn pure Loban during the Roman catholic mass service in India. And Fragrant incense was gifted to Baby Jesus by the 3 wise kings. It's like love and respect for him. I don't think burning it is a sin. Who doesn't like their room being Fragrant? And praying while the incense is burning and giving positive intentions is also not a sin. This is practiced in every culture all over the world. Smudging is no different. You can spray a room freshner but it won't be natural. It's a fact that when evil spirits are around, you get a really rotten smell suddenly in the middle of the night out of no where. And they don't like good fragrance spaces. Prayer is a must but burning incense is not a sin. It was a precious gift given to the Kings and Queens in ancient times including a birthday gift for Jesus. It's like wearing a perfume to feel good, that's not a sin. We must learn something good from every culture/religion. But don't follow it blindly. Take something good from every religion / culture. Do your own research and don't believe anyone blindly.
I looked this subject up cause my moms been having anger spurs. I came home today it smelled funny then I saw a bowl with burnt sage. She still had an angry spur on my stepfather. She's messing up by not putting God first. She says she "sages in the name of Jesus" I disagree. Jesus alone is enough. You can't put him with these other beliefs. The thing about it is that you weren’t solely burning sage, you engaged in a lot of other things along with it. The Bible tells us to stay away from specific things such as being drunk and speaking to the dead and fortune tellers. I’m just curious why the Bible isn’t specific about sage.

I’d say there’s a difference between burning sage ceremonially and burning sage for aroma. God created sage. Sage is great on chicken with pepper, garlic, salt and rosemary. It smells nice when burned in a bundle. It’s a whole different thing if I waft it and call out to the ancestors for protection, or put trust in it to cleanse my household of spirits. It’s the action of faith that opens spiritual doors good or bad. “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Satan operates under the same premise. I’m not advocating for Ouija boards whatsoever, they should be nowhere near your home, but if one were in your home it is not an open door for demons until you place your fingers on the thing and ask it a question in faith that an answer will come. That opens the spiritual door. Faith.
