    i have just recovered from an illness which wasted 3 days of mine. Earlier I was procrastinating, slopping around, wasting time. But when sickness came and I suffered not just from pain but also the fact that I'm unable to do anything; I realized how simply the absence of sickness is a great thing in itself. I could have worked so much, utilized the time to create wonderful things. This video reflects the same with more clarity & teaches us to be joyful with even the small things. I surely won't be procrastinating anymore, and work joyfully :D

    Really exciting morning. I just listened to a mantra I want to meditate to and dance to. Shanti mantra. Omh Saha Navavati.
    When I m suddenly quite thinking there's suddenly a kind of short really old man and tells me what he expects. Very helpful don't want to be a disappointment. He looks easy Indian skinny. Loin cloth and a huge walking stick.

    THE LESSON
    Joy = Appreciation and Gratitude
    How to practice joy? By reflecting on what we already have and considering how much we would long for these things if they were taken from us. Alternatively, by deliberately experiencing manageable discomfort that doesn't put us or others in danger.

    Hello Mr. Rinpoche, pleasure to connect with you! I have been looking for guidance on how to begin this habit, and I found you, and happy I did. My question is on the general preparation to meditate. I do have a small spare bedroom, but not much to sit with the bed and furniture in there. What about clothing, and other ways to enhance the space to make it a more conducive environment to meditate, soft music, low lights, minimal distractions, insence perhaps? I truly desire to develop this practice and also want to make the conditions as favorable as I can. Thank you, Anthony Chaiken

    Kinda rude to give a simple answer to such a question when they may really need help. Perhaps explain you need to use the restroom and if you're willing offer to help after or suggest resources. Or drink less water, it's only 2 hours
