On E85 that makes over 400whp. If you're blowing things up you aren't doing it right and I'm sorry I don't want to be rude but I think that's a fair statement.

Your thinking is spot on and I fully agree. Buying a standard Lancer and upgrading it to look like an Evo X is so much cheaper, it also means you have a way more practical, reliable, easier to maintain, and much cheaper to run car that still gets the benefits of looking amazing. People always care more about less important stats like BHP and torque rather than the less exciting but much more important stats like MPG, insurance and tax costs, reliability and maintenance. Honestly, I'd much rather have your car than an actual Evo X. The choice is simple: pay tens of thousands more for the car, pay much much more for running costs, have to do more maintenance and have a less reliable car, in exchange for better lap times and bragging rights, or have none of those disadvantages, way more money left in your pocket, just in exchange for not winning races that you barely do anyways. The latter choice is much better and you chose wisely.

I've owned a 2008 Lancer GTS, I then bought a 2008 Evo GSR. A few years later I bought a 2010 Evo SE. Recently I just purchased a 2015 Ralliart that I got for a steal. I'm going to upgrade the turbo and install some bolt on parts to try and get 300 HP. Anyway you did a great job transforming your Lancer.
I have done this to my lancer gt as well, except i put the evo fenders on and it mated up better. I put a fake dual tip exhaust on so I don’t have more back pressure than the engine puts out. I loved the entire process! finding the oem front bumper used was borderline impossible, but as soon as i did everything fell in place!!

I don't really know how to say but as a thank you for doing this. I have absolutely loved the Lancer/Lancer Evo cars since I was a little kid seeing them in the Fast and Furious 2 movie and I the streets begging my mom to get me the little toy cars with working little lights on them. And as I approach my senior year in high school and begin to look into cars, being able to know I can take a base model Lancer that looks bland and dull and modify it to get a true, clean Evo look like you have really inspiring. I especially don't need a turbo or performance engine to get from my house to school and to my job so being able to only spend a fraction on a base model Lancer and just modify it to look good then a true evo is really quite some exciting news. I know it probably isn't the best car to start off with and it also likely isn't a great idea to start off with a project car, being able to just drive around a Lancer than looks like a true evo is something that means a lot to me. So thanks again for making this video and showing me (and other Lancer fans) this kind of opportunity and apologies for writing an essay in your comment section 😅

Props on making it look like an Evo X but for it to be a true conversion you would need the actual expensive parts like the 4B11T, turbo, etc. Add those costs and you would be alot closer to the price of an Evo X, which is the point people try to make when people say it costs the same to make the conversion.
I mean you could still conver it in to an evo, same shell, just buy the turbo all that good stuff and all the necessary internals and get it tuned 🤷♂️

Hey bro, when people are comparing cost from evo x GSR vs your lancer. They are taking the standpoint of why you actually pay for the Evo X. The Evo X GSR comes with AWD (AYC specialized technology from Mitsubishi), stock turbo for power not economy, and the 4b11t which has so much tuning and aftermarket capability. For you to do an AWD swap, and turbo kit the car + change the internals and cooling system, it would cost wayyyyy more than just straight buying an Evo X GSR
I never said I had the intentions of turboing the car or having an all wheel drive set up. Those comments are a response to my transformation video where they say that I’ve spent as much money as the cost of an evo x. An AWD set up was never even a priority to me I don’t live up north I don’t need an AWD set up and honestly don’t think it’s even possible. As far as a turbo kit I have been offered a ralliart turbo kit for my lancer that would only cost $800 which is very cheap but I want to keep the reliability of the car as I’ve said so I decided not to do that but i would safely be able to get 250 HP from it. I’ve done all the research for this car man those people who think I’m trying to replicate an evo x don’t actually watch my videos and don’t understand I’m just trying to make the car look good. They say things like I should change the fuel door and get an AWD set up. Which both are almost impossible without tons of fabrication and doesn’t mean a thing to me lmao.
@@JRevs the turbo kit itself is $800 but the turbo from ralliart is smaller and only single Scroll turbo. The evo X is a twin scroll. Also turbo kit isnt the only thing cuz you will blow that up really quick putting it on your lancers internals. Your gonna need new break line, oil pan and lines, and probably some new engine internals just to handle a turbo at even 20psi. I'm not talking about the comments from people who say "you probably spent just as much if you bought an Evo x" im talking about the comments of "why not just buy an evo x". Cuz those comments are 2 different things
nice man that wasn't bad at all, I have an 08 Es with the Rockford Fosgate system and got me the Android stereo I do want to add some money to it to make it look a bit better since I am a father of 4 and I rather pay the 30k on a SUV rather then a daily driver, 5k doesn't seem bad, You did a good job man and we cant all afford a EVO X.
Also an ex Evo FE owner , and a current low mile 2017 se Owner, the non evo gets me there an home faster , the evo X Has to be warmed up. I also prefer the Fwd/4wd setup
got my 2008 lancer for like 5800 euros and it has like 172.000 miles on it but it came with all the good shit lancers from that time could come with (bass in the trunk, keyless start go, heated front seats, leather interior thats kinda scuffed , cornering, a second set of wheels and probs more shit i cant remember off the top of my head), dude even put a fresh distribution on it at 170k miles. Really happy with it and i wanna do the same as you and name it "Copycat" or "WannaB".
So why not just buy the Ralliart? I get the cost deferences but the ralliart came turbo awd and cost less than a evo, but still mad props to the build looks really clean
I just bought a 2016 lancer es with the evo body kit. I have some cool front lights on the bumper as well, love it so far and the color is amazing (octane blue pearl). Next up intake and exhaust 😈

I have an Evo X and your car does look good for aesthetic look! I almost did the same, but I saw someone was selling a stock Evo X SSS package white 81k mileage 3 years ago for only 20k clean title. I couldn't let that deal pass. 😂 today it is sitting only 97k mileage since its my weekend car. I would definitely hate driving Evo as a daily since traffic in Socal is trash on weekdays.
My son and i are working on an 03 es. Looks nice for now it came with the Evo wing and some custom wheels. Working on it slowly, people ask him if it's an Evo. Probably go your route, make it look the part. Where you get that license plate?
Nice video overall,prices are little low in usa vs europe,for example you cant get a hood for under 700 dolars,also you have labor work(in your case,you did all by yourself,but most car guys either do some of it/none of the labor) so you have to also add labor work money(let's say 500-2000 dollars,depending what you've done to the body of the car). At 5:55 sorry to dissapoint,but just in romania we have a few lancers identical with yours ;) I dont even know how many there are in europe.

In our place the price of the kits less than 1000 BND. Evo hood cost around 270 BND, varis kits front, rear and side skirts cost around 450 BND.

Car looks good just need the wide wheel arches like an Evo. The front is easy but the rear is tough. Unless you go wide body.

got my 2008 lancer for like 5800 euros and it has like 172.000 miles on it but it came with all the good shit lancers from that time could come with (bass in the trunk, keyless start go, heated front seats, leather interior thats kinda scuffed , cornering, a second set of wheels and probs more shit i cant remember off the top of my head), dude even put a fresh distribution on it at 170k miles. Really happy with it and i wanna do the same as you and name it "Copycat" or "WannaB".

I just bought a 2016 lancer es with the evo body kit. I have some cool front lights on the bumper as well, love it so far and the color is amazing (octane blue pearl). Next up intake and exhaust 😈

I have an Evo X and your car does look good for aesthetic look! I almost did the same, but I saw someone was selling a stock Evo X SSS package white 81k mileage 3 years ago for only 20k clean title. I couldn't let that deal pass. 😂 today it is sitting only 97k mileage since its my weekend car. I would definitely hate driving Evo as a daily since traffic in Socal is trash on weekdays.

My son and i are working on an 03 es. Looks nice for now it came with the Evo wing and some custom wheels. Working on it slowly, people ask him if it's an Evo. Probably go your route, make it look the part. Where you get that license plate?

Nice video overall,prices are little low in usa vs europe,for example you cant get a hood for under 700 dolars,also you have labor work(in your case,you did all by yourself,but most car guys either do some of it/none of the labor) so you have to also add labor work money(let's say 500-2000 dollars,depending what you've done to the body of the car). At 5:55 sorry to dissapoint,but just in romania we have a few lancers identical with yours ;) I dont even know how many there are in europe.
