I do love some Jeeps. EVERY 4WD has good points and bad points, some you love, others you learn to live with. Why cannot one love more than one brand at the same time? Why do people pay homage to brands?? Those who can only enjoy a single brand of 4WD are the ones that lose out. There. I said it!
Hi Andrew, glad that you finally agreed (we had an argument with you before about the merits of renting vs. owning overlanding vehicle overseas) that RENTING is a good option in many (most) cases :)
I don’t understand why Andrew doesn’t have at least 5 millions subscribers yet. THIS IS IT! amazing, professional, honest and educational contents. Something is definitely wrong with the RUclips algorithm

DDear Andrew, I just came back from the UAE after almost 10 years during which almost every weekend i drove my jeep and rode my BMW bike on these same Wadis and mountains and deserts on the UAE and most importantly in Oman. in those 9 years i learned how to drive off-road both on a 4x4 and a motorcycle , i learned about camping with 4x4's and bikes (as you said on one of your videos from a trip in Namibia if i recall, you really learn how to pack when you go on long camping trips with a motorcycle) and .. I came to discover you and your channel. now i am back in Europe and itching for overland trips. UAE but mostly Oman belong to the best places on earth to go off-roading and are also the safest, I have done a lot of solo trips with the bike and the worst part was to say thank you to all the local people that offered me food, hospitality and help when i got into trouble (mostly lots, stuck on sand or dropping my beast down). and thank you for the knowledge and your videos. My advice to people: go to the UAE or even better Oman or both, plenty of people that will rent you a 4x4 - and guide you if you want, drive and camp. the spots you show in the video are great. For Oman the spectacular drive through Wadi Satan and then up in the mountains through Wadi Bani Awf (from zero to 2000 meters with a short stop at the Small and large Snake Canyon), all dirt, Wadi Shab for hiking and swimming and Majlis Al Jiin. You can find information online and plenty of videos for all of it on RUclips. Also note, in UAE and Oman you can pretty much camp anywhere you want, no issues (or just go to a beautiful resort, that also is great).

Hi Andrew, Liked the video and it brought back happy memories. I've owned and driven both a Jeep and a Toyota Prado and driven both in the deserts of the UAE and Oman. Here's my 'pennyworth'; the short wheel base Jeep is ideally suited to the sand sea in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the dunes are generally not high but they are steep and close together with one 'wave' adjoining another. So quick turns at the base of a dune with little room favours the short wheel base Jeep. For longer drives on flatter terrain or up and down large isolated dunes the Prado (or longer wheel base Toyota or Nissan) is more comfortable and performs well. Dear Andrew, I think you did a misconclusion about the nice safety-unsafety-issue you very nice and smart told the world. From the European point of view the UEA do have a reputation as being safe. I truely believe that there is another point making European people to decide not to leave Dubai to explore the stunning geomorphology of the UEA. In Europe outside the UK the UEA does have the reputation as being as save as any Mediterranean country like Italy or Croatia. Yet the UEA also has the reputation as being difficult, if you're a woman. In addition to that there are three types of country-side-visitors. There are the ones prefering organized tours. They go on a day-trip from Dubai, since you can't "order" something like an organized ten-day-country-side-trip at an ordinary travel agency. And it is as you said: the ones going on a trip heading off Dubai certainly won't like it. Then there are the onee flying to a country, hiring a car (or having berthed an own one there). There we have the wife saying "no, I'm almost not allowed to be a woman in the UEA; - we're not going there!" And then there are the adventurers. They spend money in the fastest growing (measured in yearly turn over value) camping-marked in Europe, the so called exmos (expedition mobile homes, actually big sized 4- or 6- or 8-wheeled trucks built to seriously going off road and the be autarc on several weeks to months). Already scientist of sociology and economy looked into it. 90 % of those Exmo-owners are heterosexual couples who order a factory made one or built one as a DIY-project years before retirement to travell the world after retirement. They do spend between 50.000 and 500.000 Euros on such cars before taking off to do the big tour aftee retirement to then have an average retirement-income between 1.000 and 2.500 Euros per person and month. The Exmo is the last mayor expensive the do make, before retirement. And they do not wamt to risk that. Thus they do have two thoughts in mind by picking the ever next destination: how save is it there and how save is the way to get there. In case of the UEA it is to the "adventurer" in the head of any European Exmo-driver as save as let's say Australia and the woman on board es that much interested in meeting new culture, she also would like to visit the UAE. BUT (and it is a BIG BUT) how to get there? To Europeans it seams to be more save to travell on the road through Asia or South America, than to go all the way down to the UEA. Thus the UEA misses a whole bunch of potential tourists visiting the for sure amazing nature beyond Dubai. Sincerily, Stefan.
The only thing you lack in these awesome experiences is a reusable water bottle. I can understand the situation for Coca, but you can be a role model for many
In the US we don’t have the Land Cruiser that you get everywhere else. You could buy one used but the prices are steep. So the Jeep is the only real off-roader. For the life of me I cannot understand why the Japanese don’t offer some of their more rugged trucks in the US.

Sincerily,
Stefan.
loved your snoring joke :')
The only thing you lack in these awesome experiences is a reusable water bottle. I can understand the situation for Coca, but you can be a role model for many
I only use reusable water containers with my own vehicle. That's very difficult when using a rental in a strange country.
14:08 ... :) lol Andrew St Pierre White 2020.
God damn your video is quality content
Unlimited means that it has four doors (except on the tj)
Many north americans think their backyard isn't safe
In the US we don’t have the Land Cruiser that you get everywhere else. You could buy one used but the prices are steep. So the Jeep is the only real off-roader. For the life of me I cannot understand why the Japanese don’t offer some of their more rugged trucks in the US.
And as much as I live my Jeep they have some very serious quality control and design issues.
there is no jeep wrangler limited the unlimited is market speak for long wheelbase
elmer it is a silly name though. I’ve often wondered what exactly they were trying to imply. Obviously they don’t mean limited edition. Are they saying the 2 door has limited capability and the 4 door has unlimited capability? Also, I own a unlimited, in a limited edition.😁
