I still LOVE, LOVE this show. 9/3/2024, I own it digitally, and on DVD, and have it downloaded on three different devices. It’s like my nighttime relaxation before I fall asleep, (ok my #2 😜) But I miss this show and do wish that they could’ve had Kyra and JK come back for Major Crimes send of. I know they had their own thing going. But it really would’ve been a nice nod to the fans and the characters. And I’ll say this, as a REAL Woman from the south, with advanced education, I don’t know who was advising Kyra (if anyone) that her accent was right, because it was so OVER THE TOP WRONG in the beginning, it was actually quite off putting. I mean if I didn’t like her and the others so much I may not have stuck around. But listen, I don’t know of ANY CIA OFFICER, or FORMER CIA that had such a heavy southern accent. I mean I worked for the State Dept as a Chemical Analysis Agent for many years, and I was teased and even encouraged to work on my “non-regional” diction when we were in other countries. But I wasn’t a threat to national security, it was a joke from coworkers. But back to Kyra’s character, her accent was so fake it was just so hard to take. And she is an excellent actor, so I just wished she’d caught that earlier on. Frances Sternhagen, who played her Mama, Willie-Ray’s accent was ABSOLUTELY 💯 % PERFECT. I MEAN SHE NAILED IT! RIP Frances!
I love to see these interviews where the whole cast gets to answer questions and it's great to see that they truly like each other outside of the show as "real persons" and not only as their characters. (I hope this sentence makes sense :) )
Storyline With Brenda being interviewed by Captain Rayder over the death of a suspect she released, Lt. Mike Tao becomes the senior officer in charge of searching for a missing 9-year-old boy. The boy's parents are divorced and hostile, with the mother now living with her new boyfriend, an ex-Las Vegas policeman who has a history of domestic abuse. The boy, found floating in a swimming pool more than a mile away, rode his new bike to summer camp that morning - a camp where Lt. Tao's son, Kevin, was a teen counselor to the lad. The autopsy, however, reveals death by drug overdose rather than drowning. While trying to solve the case, Brenda does everything she can to avoid Raydor and her needling about getting a lawyer against the impending lawsuit.
WHERE IS GINA RIVERA (DETECTIVE IRENE DANIELS)??!! What's interesting is how much Kyra Sedgewick remains me of Farrah Fawcett... THEY BOTH left the biggest role of their careers because their husbands said so... But, at least Kyra held out a decent amount of time and allowed herself the fully explore her role.. When husbands get jealous, WATCH OUT !!

Jon Tenney is perfect casting; he as Fritz brings perfect balance to Kyra's Brenda Lee. I think Fritz makes it possible for me to still like Brenda.

I have watched Kyra in many interviews. She and her husband take turns. They have an amazing partnership. I believe your information is incorrect.
