I do like how even though it is a passenger elevator it has the big 2 speed doors like on a big service elevator Ive always found those ones the most satisfying to use

I guess.. but that is not the only kind that is rare for a Menards. A couple Menards stores have Schindler 330A elevators. Guessing they acquire Otis elevators for newer Menards stores that feel like needing to install an elevator with a rear door that opens up on 2 (or 2R).
I’m guessing by generic elevators at Menards (not this one), you mean Abell? Or Schumacher if you ever visit Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, or South Dakota.

I’ve been in that elevator before. I have some pictures on some work there while it was being built. Not sure if the elevator shaft was erected yet.

Menards is a chain of home improvement stores in the Midwestern United States. It was founded in 1960 by Wisconsin native John Menard.
I think a lot of newer Menards has Otis. And I don't think they use Abell anymore.
Probably because Menards realized that Abell is just cheap generic elevators.
