Agree on Gilbert, a true treasure. I used to sell Blue Circle gear as a small home based dealer and owned a bunch of the equipment. Would buy his new stuff, but looking to simplify, reduce box count and weight. I think a system purge is coming and a Bel Canto integrated could be in my future. Want a system I can take to a smaller space, dont want to deal with a big, complex and heavy system anymore. Enjoy the channel.
Were on the same page and my Bel Canto will drop your jaw.Its the most capable fully integrated system unit in all areas there is period.Pre power Stream, phono LOMC/mm all at reference level
THD kind of strikes me as snake oil a bit. Some amps/ receivers with higher distortion measurements sound better to my ears than others that measure immaculately.
Thanks for sharing brother. Yeah, don't know much about the measurements, did a little homework. Picked up an used Cary Audio Sli-80 integrated, hooked it up to some Harbeth speakers, I sit about 6-7 ft away, near listening zone I guess. My ear measurements are telling me it sounding pretty damn good. Rock on brother.
Ok I went to watch his VIDEO, while Gilbert Yeung doesn't cover it information is technical . Basically at a certain point after baselines are covered measurements don't matter but !!! It's important to know because if it breaks it will be a guess on how to fix it Dave I love the Hobby but also Engineering.
@@greatlookinglandscap @greatlookinglandscap I love Discrete Amplifiers & Tubes but its too Dam Hot!! Outside in America typically I change to Class A & Tube during Fall but the equipment rising the room 5 degrees. Hypex & Icepower are the modules most sold for for highend along with the TI3255 that stuff is here to stay Hypex is in the Bel Canto and you love It!! AGY speaks a lot about Harmonics I believe that all the Audiophile chain needs the right Harmonics with a Clean power Amplifier...
