How to Become an Expert at Maneuvering your Sailboat in a Marina

There is a big difference between just knowing how to maneuver your boat in a marina and being an expert. To become an expert you have to have done all the various maneuvers many multiple times to built automatic muscle memory. But how do you gain that experience? Now, with exact physics simulation in virtual reality of a sailboat, you can practice dozens of times with different docking scenarios and different wind speeds and directions. Now there in no excuse to become an expert.

Small clarification - to access "Docking" modules you also need a "Sailing Pass" - starting at $13 per month or $99 a year. Still great value.

That is correct. We initially launched it for free with lots of announcements. Now the programer who put so many months of 16 hour days needs a little sugar. Fair enough! The entertainment value is enough but the shear amount of learning and muscle memory developed is incredible. Never feeling unsure in a marina again is so worth it.

I have noticed the prop walk seems to be very exaggerated. Especially when backing out of the slip in the docking bow in module. Besides that I am loving the experience.

@@dwhetsel some boats have huge propwalk and others minimal. We wanted to give a real experience of propwalk so that you learn to manage it well. Thanks for the feed back and glad you are enjoying.
