Love the use of pink ! It s beautiful! I would have been scared to go that white in the background, but you were right! It s beautiful! As always, you rock! Thank you so much!
I'm laughing over your explanation of the 6 stages of the creative process. I realized I progressed from stage 1 to 4 over a period of about 15 years and have been stuck in "I'm a horrible painter" for the past two. Appreciate your words of wisdom and encouragement; it's pulling me through this rut!
The stage revelation is helpful. So many times I have said I am horrible and don’t know what I’m doing!! Maybe I don’t but I need to learn how to just have fun
Well, I'm really enjoying this. I'm glad to see someone using so much color. I use sky holes but I usually lower the value abit. Yea this is turning out "Some good Learnen".
This was awesome to see how you created that painting! Thanks for being so encouraging as you are demonstrating your technique. And I loved the “ahh, the good old days...” comment. I remember those!!😁
Just "discovered" you through a comment made by an artist at another site. I'm so glad to find your RUclips. You have a wonderful way of commenting/narrating. I'll be back. Thank you!
So glad you're enjoying the content Linda! We're preparing for an epic Free 3-Day Online Masterclass if you're interested :) There will be big prizes, epic instruction from Jed and more! www.acrylicuniversity.com/radiant-masterclass
This is magic! Also, what can you tell me about the painting that hangs beside the easel to the right when looking at the screen? I keep seeing the edges and it looks so moody and beautiful; there isn't perchance a paint-along for that one too?
I absolutely love the vibrant colors in your paintings. what are the paint pens you use to sign your paintings please? and I am looking forward to when I can get into your classes!
Thanks for your lesson. I'ts really helpful. What type of paint are you using? Is there a special type of container you are using to put in the large quantity of paint in? Does it help to prevent the paint from drying out when not in use? Where are they sold?
I use heavy body acrylics - these are from Utrecht I think - they are in a bead box I got from Hobby Lobby. Yes, they can last a while in there, but if you want them to last a really long time, put the bead box in a ziploc bag. That will seal it all up... And I also use the Masterson Sta-Wet palette. It's a game changer for acrylic painters :-)
Good artwork, congratulations! Can I ask you what brand are the acrylics, I'm not finding nothing professional in the stores that sell them, they have such a thin consistency! I need some colors with more thicker consistency. Thank you. 😊
just found you by a friend in my plein air group, good videos Jed. can you give any info on using watercolor paper for acrylic paints? I think I wanted to try it to move away from canvas at times.
I'm looking at your wall easel. It doesn't take up floor space and I have a TINY space. Can you please tell me if you built it, what materials??, or if you purchased? Thank you in advance. 9/14/2021
I'm in your Masterclass Session 1 and am at the stage I'm a horrible painter. I need to start over. I forgot to use the Rule of Thirds AND I KNOW the rule. Why can't I remember all the rules all the time.

Thank you so much, I love this, and the fact that you drew your design with the bright pink was brilliant !!!

Great technique helped me think about reflection and shading
Fast paced and challenging tho along with your encouragement enjoyable, I have no camera but so interesting to see variations of same scene painted.
I❤the colors. Stage 6 is my favorite 😂😊
Oh my gosh thank you so much. From South Africa
You are so welcome! Thanks for joining us :-)
Pretty amazing
Thank You Jed. It was wonderful
Beautiful painting!
Beautiful, Jed
Congrats Jina
So good. Thanks Jed. Could you tell me how you attach your board to the backing, to your easel. Do you tape it? If so, what do you do with the edges?
When you paint your canvas gray, do you do more than one coat??
