You teached my dad a long time ago on how to tie flys. He always loves telling the cigarette story of you flicking it in the water then the fish goes and eats it. great job on all of your videos.
Folding hackle is an age old trick but I’ve never seen it done once the feather has been tied in. I was taught to use a pair of hackle pliers to hold the feather. Your method makes sense but it has to be secured really well or else it will slide out. Nice fly Charlie.
Hey Charlie! I love all your videos. I have watched them over and over and over. I am looking for some tips on duck quill wings. Would you consider doing a quill wing pattern soon so I can see you’re tips and tricks to get them looking great?
Hi Charlie, I love how you tie a fly using the materials that best represent what you observe in the naturals and tie them in the most proficient manner. Lately I've been looking at Caddis patterns in all their forms and I came across images of the Zug Bug, my favorite "prospecting" nymph and one of the first flies I tied. The best looking ZB led me to your website. My jaw dropped when the text read (no photos?!?) you tied a dubbing under body just like I did! Mine was out of necessity because the peacock herl I was given were the short butt ends that wouldn't wrap past the "thorax". When I got better peacock I kept the chocolate brown dub under body and they had more bites than the ones I tied without. Unfortunately your SBS had no photos, just text. I can't find a video of it on your channel. Do you have one? Thanks.
These are the best fly tying videos on RUclips, you should keep posting them!

A variant to fish where others have been seen a lot
