@Bill Tumas I finally had the perfect weekend to work on my car and install these springs. Your video was very educative and help me out a lot, THANKS!!! The job was completed with minor issues so for those 1st timers like me, please plan well and consider a few additional precautions. Rear springs on my car took me about 1 hour using a floor jack and stands, I actually felt it was easier than doing it overhead. I replaced the OEM panhard bar with an adjustable BMR, if you are doing this please bolt on the driver side first, you will need to hammer it in since the bushing is thicker. On the front end, the 2013-2014 have different spindle to strut bolts (no flag washers) be careful bolts won't turn with an impact wrench, after you take the nut out proceed hammering the bolt out. After pulling the strut out, I couldn't easily remove the nut on top of the strut mounting plate, the strut shaft was turning so I used Locking pliers to help my impact wrench. Also, I panic when I saw all the ball bearings from the mounting plate so I got a pair of new ones (cheap Monroes strutmates) so have a pair ready just in case!! Finally, I realized I switched the struts from one side to another just when I was putting pack the brake house mounting plate ....Good thing is that apparently they are exactly the same so it doesn't matter driver or passenger side.....Ok, guys with Bill's video and these additional tips go ahead and turn some wrenches!! Thanks.
Do you crave maximum street performance with the lowest possible drop for your #Mustang? Eibach's Sportline Coil Spring Set can give you this, and with Bill's instructions in our recent install video, you can install them yourself!
+CJ Pony Parts I own a 2012 mustang gt (auto). I'm getting a whipple installed. Should be getting 600hp to the wheels. I'm 100% stock at the moment. Do you recommend the pro kit or the sport line? I was just going to get the kit that includes front and rear sway bars. Thanks.
Thanks CJ Pony for this video. It help me a lot with my eibach sportsline springs. I've never installed springs before, but this video took me step by step and it was pretty easy to do.
Holy mother of car parts !! 6 hours in today 3 wheels done one left for tomorrow,my tip to everyone doing this :use a torque gun otherwise you're just not taking the strut top off,the rear took 2 hours almost the front is a paaain!!!
Johnny Bravo rear is real easy,it took me 1 hour i believe for both, the front you have to support the control arm to get the sway bar out cause when the wheel is hanging is under pressure and you don't get it out,and then the top bolt on the strut is very deep and i could not reach it,you have to hold the core with one hand and work the nut with the other which is almost impossible ,i used a torque gun, that;s why i had to leave it for the next day,i could not take the top strut bolt off with wrenches .good luck, with all the tools available you should do about 1.5 hours per side.
Just replaced every thing... Struts, shocks, springs, upper and lower control arms, relocation brackets, pan hard and brace.. this video made it easy.. the hardest part was the upper control arm.
The strut is designed to work with the stock springs travel, lower springs will shorten that distance. In many cases this will cause the strut to wear out a little faster but it will not make a huge difference.
oh . okay. any regrets going with that ride height? I saw on another video that required a camber plate or so on top of the strut tower. is that necessary? did you need to get it aligned as well afterwords? sorry for all the questions but you seem to know your stuff and have already traveled down the road im about to go down.
EMTBLAKELY I would recommend going with a true set of caster/camber plates as well as an adjustable panhard bar at this height. I would also plan on new shocks and struts since this ride height it not optimal for the stock parts.
Funny that you ask lol The ride can be on the bouncy side with the Sportline's drop so we are doing an install video on Bilstein shocks and struts this week
hey Good video. Question. I have heard that putting lowering springs on stock struts will ruin them. sometimes slowly and sometimes quickly. any insight on this? thanks Kevin.
Hello, great video. The lowering sprigs that I’m going to be installing will lower my mustang 1 Inch. Do I need to install caster / camber plates, and adjustable pan hard bar ? Also, do you know the torque specs on the nuts/bolts when reassembling? Thank you, Howard.
For a one inch drop you should be ok with just camber bolts up front. Yes you should use an adjustable panhard bar to center the axle. Torque specs are readily available online.
CJ Pony Parts Thnak you for the information. It’s appreciated very much. My Mustang is a 2014 Track Pack. Will the 1 inch lowering springs be any different in height than a non-track pack MustangGT thank you
So you can re-use the factory shock mounts and the camber is still in spec? Is the notch out mount orientation the factory setting or is this a turn it 180 degrees to correct the camber deal?
Everywhere I've seen eibach sportline they are saying about 1.5" in rear and 1.4" in front. But you said about 1.5" front and 2" rear. Could American Muscle be off that much? js cause 1/2" is very noticeable
just bought the pro kit and the koni str.t non adjustables, camber bolts, and rear adjustable pan hard, do you think i'll need the camber bolts for the pro kit drop? also should I worry about the rear pinion angle with a 1.5" drop in the rear?
Typically you will not need the camber bolts with the pro kit but I usually suggest installing them while you have it apart. They are cheap and will make alignment easier.
Bill Tumas thanks man, and you think ill be alright on the pinion angle? its a daily driver, about 500 miles a week :( and i don't feel like doing a rear upper control arm but will if you tell me i need to lol
i did exactly this BUT after that my car start making noise like squeaking toy on the driver side.....and with a little research i got the notice I NEED A NEW ADJUSTABLE PENHARD BAR.....
from personal experience, get an aftermarket upper control arm as well when you lower it. also, if you bring it to Ford with drivetrain issues, they may not be inclined to fix it if it's lowered... :/
@cjponyparts. i am about to get the sport line springs for my 2011 mustang gt with the brembo packadge. i know a panhard is needed when lowering a car to re center the axle. but i noticed you didn't install one in the video. was the axle shift acceptable with the drop of these springs? cause it didnt look like it shifted a lot.
Anybody know what type of shop would be able to do this? I live in California, I see a lot of "auto shops" but I'm not sure if they'll be able to install them properly.
Do you need the coil spring compressor if your replacing the struts at the same time as the springs? Do they need to be compressed in order to bolt them up?
Would have been nice to see before and after shots but nice video none the less. Also, isn't a wheel alignment necessary? I have also seen people post that a adjustable panhard bar is highly recommended for the rear.
I always suggest getting the alignment checked when you lower your car. The further down you lower it the more offset the rear suspension gets so an adjustable panhard is a good idea. We will be covering this in a future video.
Hey Bill, is there a good set of ratcheting wrenches you would recommend? Every video I see you using them, they look incredibly handy, especially for the cramped areas.
Haha. I thought the Mustang at the end was still the "BEFORE" picture. Are GTs setup for off-roading or what? To me, it still needs to come down an inch.
Hi Bill, i'm getting confused here please help! i have 2014 mustang gt track pack, up till now i have stock suspension on her and been always wanting to lower it using Eibach pro kit springs only. lots of my friends are telling me that i will not notice any difference if i only install the springs and that might also damage the stock shocks!!! I do not track/drag the car but sometimes i gun it just to remember i have a V8 lol. SO i'll take your word as a professional mustang guy, would the stock shocks hold up well with eibach pro springs? many thanks,
The stock suspension will work fine with the Pro Kit springs, you will get a little less life out of them and the ride will be firm but they will be ok.
Hey I installed these same springs on my mustang 2014 v6 and i followed all the steps but when I drive it the back feels like it's loose and like it's hitting something can you please help me with this or something you think might be? Thanks
+Bill Tumas hey Bill what springs would you use on a 2013 GT convertible? mild drop as my car is a daily driver with pretty crappy roads in Canada. Steeda sport for convertibles, steeda ultralites, eibach pro? any other ones i havent mentioned maybe better?
Ready to buy my springs Bill. And I am considering these Sportlines. Question, what size wheels are on the stang in this video? My 2014 came with 19s with 245-45-19 but I am going 20s. Just trying to compare and get an idea of where she will sit. Also, were camber plates necessary up front? Thank you in advance.
They are the stock 19 in Brembo wheels with 255 45 19s on them. We installed 20 in wheels on that car at a later date without issue. We did not need the camber plates but they are not a bad idea.

Best video online for this install I've found. Thank you
Yes it will shift to the side when lowering the car. It's not a huge amount but we will correct it in the future with an adjustable pan hard bar
Thanks CJ Pony for this video. It help me a lot with my eibach sportsline springs. I've never installed springs before, but this video took me step by step and it was pretty easy to do.
You have no idea how much this video helped me 👍👍
2 hours for a pro is at least 5 for me haha.
fire1937 old comment but it took me 2 weekends lmaooo
The best tutorial video. I learned a lot from this tutorial. now im able to repair my own car and also to share my videos with all you.
Holy mother of car parts !! 6 hours in today 3 wheels done one left for tomorrow,my tip to everyone doing this :use a torque gun otherwise you're just not taking the strut top off,the rear took 2 hours almost the front is a paaain!!!
Why is the front so hard? We did the rear so only my rear is lowered haha, it took us about 2 hours

Adrian B Cool thanks for the info, I'm going to tackle it this Friday lol
Just replaced every thing... Struts, shocks, springs, upper and lower control arms, relocation brackets, pan hard and brace.. this video made it easy.. the hardest part was the upper control arm.
I don't have springs yet....or even a mustang....I'm watching this just in case. 12 minute video, but this will take me 12 hours.
Man, Bill removing christmas tree clip with index finger, no gloves, he gangsta.
Is there a specified torque needed for all the other bolts and nuts connecting the struts? You only mentioned to torque down the wheels.
Great install video! I installed Eibachs on my Boss 302 with the help of this video. Helped me a ton thanks!
The strut is designed to work with the stock springs travel, lower springs will shorten that distance. In many cases this will cause the strut to wear out a little faster but it will not make a huge difference.
The factory mounts can be used but you will most likely need a set of camber bolts to realign within spec if you are going with the sportline springs.
hey man .are those 20s ? and if they are do you get any tire rub with the sportline springs
EMTBLAKELY Those are the factory 19's but the car has 20's on it now with no issues
oh . okay. any regrets going with that ride height? I saw on another video that required a camber plate or so on top of the strut tower. is that necessary? did you need to get it aligned as well afterwords? sorry for all the questions but you seem to know your stuff and have already traveled down the road im about to go down.

Eibach offers a shock and strut kit that is designed to work perfectly with their springs.
Funny that you ask lol The ride can be on the bouncy side with the Sportline's drop so we are doing an install video on Bilstein shocks and struts this week
Very helpful video. Thank you. The exhaust really sounds good. Please tell me which mufflers you have on the car at the end of video.
Ford Racing Sport Touring mufflers with AR Long tube headers and 3 in off road X pipe
Bill Tumas Thank you.
Wow...Great video. You made it look so easy to do the install.
Alright thanks I'll be sure to do that and I'll be ordering one from you're guys website in the next 2 days
Thanks for the vid and thanks for answering most ppl questions we all appreciate you keep it up

if you bring it for warranty issues.
How are the factory shocks doing? is the ride bouncy? I plan on doing the same upgrade and koni yellow latter on.
Hey bill, do a rear upper control arm install on a 2011-2014 Mustang 5.0
Please please and how to adjust as well
is this installation the exact same thing ass installing lowering springs on the 2013 gt500??
+Yancy Ayala yes you just need to unplug the electrical connections on your shocks and struts
I cant get the two nuts that are on the spindle lose any tips
Air or breaker bar are your best bets. Spray some penetrating oil or heat as well if needed
Every other youtuber - calls 5 friends over for this...
Bill: Nah...Imma hold it with one hand and tighten the top screws with another.
Can you just cut the original bump stop down instead of getting another?
Those spring islators are a pain to replace when they tear apart while removing them
Will these springs rub with 18x11 wheels with 315 in the back and 18x9.5 with 265 in the front 2013 mustang GT
Anybody know what type of shop would be able to do this? I live in California, I see a lot of "auto shops" but I'm not sure if they'll be able to install them properly.
+Pito Licker Its a job any decent shop should be able to handle without any difficulty
+Bill Tumas Thank you!
+Bill Tumas what kind of slotted/cross drilled rotors are those and do they hold up against rust? I didn't notice a E coat of paint on them. Thanks.
+Mayhem W They are 2 piece Baer Decelarotors. The centers are painted and the rotor is zinc coated so they will not rust
Bill Tumas thank you! Do you have these in stock or where I can purchase? Thanks again
Do you need the coil spring compressor if your replacing the struts at the same time as the springs? Do they need to be compressed in order to bolt them up?
Shawn Davis Unless you buy the assembled strut kit from Ford Racing that comes with the spring installed.
Ok, I was thinking about bilsteins with the sportlines.
Would have been nice to see before and after shots but nice video none the less. Also, isn't a wheel alignment necessary? I have also seen people post that a adjustable panhard bar is highly recommended for the rear.

Do you recommend the adjustable pan hard bar after lowering cause I read its recommend but I see you didn't use one here
+hyatt64 Yes I would suggest one to get the rear centered.
Hey Bill, is there a good set of ratcheting wrenches you would recommend? Every video I see you using them, they look incredibly handy, especially for the cramped areas.
They are priceless to have in your toolbox. I use Blue Point wrenches from Snap-On but Craftsman, Gear Wrench, etc all make a decent set.
Never actually see you using the torque wrench here. Thought the strut to spindle bolts needs 166lb-ft of torque applied to them?
Were can i buy those cross drilled rotors for my 13 5.0 that has the brembo brakes????
They are Baer Eradispeed rotors and are available on our website.
you’re awesome !!
Haha. I thought the Mustang at the end was still the "BEFORE" picture. Are GTs setup for off-roading or what? To me, it still needs to come down an inch.

Do you have to torque values for this install for everything you took off?
what would happen if the tail is not facing the back?
Some say the GT500 strut mounts are needed, is the true?
I liked the video but not once the Torque Wrench was used, Guessing just follow manufacture's guideline when installing
how well will these springs work with the adj boss 302 springs?
I have a 2012 Mustang Roush Stage 3 (RS3). Will these Eibach springs work to lower my car as well?
Yes they will!
@@cjponyparts thank you so much! Can you tell me which ones I should order. Its a 2012 Mustang GT Roush Stage 3 Convertible.
Hey I installed these same springs on my mustang 2014 v6 and i followed all the steps but when I drive it the back feels like it's loose and like it's hitting something can you please help me with this or something you think might be? Thanks
First make sure everything is tight and its not hitting the bumpstops. Its a good idea to add an adjustable panhard bar before getting an alignment.
STRUT MOUNT
Which struts do u recommend using with eibahc's springs?
Thanks.
Did you have your alignment done?
what brake rotors are those?
Thanks bill
What front rotors are those?
GT500 strut mounts are a good upgrade but they will not fit the stock 11-14 GT struts
alignment recommended after spring install?
OK, where did that push start come from??
We sell them, made by Silverhorse Racing
can you fit a 20x10 wheel in the back with a 295 tire?
with it on these springs
+Tate Doherty Yes with the proper offset 20x10
Thanks man
+Bill Tumas hey Bill what springs would you use on a 2013 GT convertible? mild drop as my car is a daily driver with pretty crappy roads in Canada. Steeda sport for convertibles, steeda ultralites, eibach pro? any other ones i havent mentioned maybe better?
+Jason Kornega Check out the BMR CS009 they will give you about 1.5 in drop and ride really well
And bracket mount too
what exhaust is that on the intro sound?
FRPP Sport/Borla S type mufflers, 1 7/8 ARH longtube headers and 3 in off road X pipe.
Bill Tumas oh man that sounds expensive .
***** Borla makes the mufflers for Ford. I have installed the Borla S type and the Ford Racing on my personal car and they sound exactly the same.
do I really need shocks and struts ?
Need? no But the car will ride a lot better with a good set of aftermarket shocks and struts when lowering.
thank you
What kind of wheels are those?
stock track pack wheels
Baer Eradi-speed plus if you search our channel under "Baer' we did a product video and install video on them
Ready to buy my springs Bill. And I am considering these Sportlines. Question, what size wheels are on the stang in this video? My 2014 came with 19s with 245-45-19 but I am going 20s. They are the stock 19 in Brembo wheels with 255 45 19s on them. We installed 20 in wheels on that car at a later date without issue. We did not need the camber plates but they are not a bad idea.
So a pan hard bar isn't needed
It is recommended for proper alignment.
I have 20in staggered wheels on my 14' just curious if this will cause any rub issues.
Thanks for any info
Not at all, I ran 20x11s on the rear of my S197. Just make sure your axle is centered.
@@cjponyparts thank you for the response. That's wonderful news. I can now purchase these with confidence. Have a good one.
Baer Eradispeed 2 piece
Ok Thanks +Bill Tumas
Do they fit stock struts
looks easy to do it but dont have the tools to do that 😅
Took me like 5 hours lol
No camber bolts ? Now I feel like I wasted my money on them.🙄
We did not install camber bolts because we were planning on installing caster camber plates.
Thank you for responding 🙏

was that drop on stock shocks and struts
