In 1984 I emigrated to Johannesburg in South Africa from the UK , I was a manufacturing jeweler, and after working for 10 year I got fed up with working for bosses ,I decided to start my own business as I was an expert in jewelry repairs I went round a lot of antique shops in Johannesburg and got my first client I did work for her on antique jewelry, she then asked If I could repair a silver coffee pot ,I said I don't know give it to me,went back to the workshop and did it, anyway that started my restoration business that I called The Repair Shop that was 28 years ago and at the age of 72 I'm still doing it, if someone has a repair that no one can fix it ends up in my work shop, I find the work deeply rewarding ,I love watching your show as I can relate to the work you do
This Camera man, knows his stuff and the programme is so much more pleasant to watch and actually see what is being spoken about at the precise right time, really fabulous to watch. Well done Mr Camera man. People with Epilepsy or Migraine can watch and enjoy this perfectly.
I get such pleasure from this program. They call it the repair shop but what is accomplished is full restoration. Talk about swimming against the current in this throw away society. This is now a world wide must view for millions of people. BBC, don't be like our CBC and kill popular shows. Love from Canada.
The repair shop is one of my favorite shows on t.v. nowadays! ALL of the repair shop specialists are awesome but there’s one who jumpes out for me! One person whose work goes beyond craftsmanship and enters the realm of magic and that’s Kirsten, the ceramics lady! What she does is often unbelievable! Getting a plate or statue that’s in pieces and restoring it in a way that you often don’t even see the cracks or damages anymore! It’s truly magical!
I am totally addicted to Repair shop , and the repair specialists are brilliant, they are awesome, with such lovely personality's not to mention what they achieve, with things that look like they should be dead and buried years ago, wonderful absolutely wonderful, they deserve a national award.
The Repair Shop is RUclips in reverse ... experts all in one place rather than scattered over dozens of channels. Possibly the best television in the modern age ... as a glimpse into what you can experience on RUclips if you follow the right channels. The very best show will be sorely missed.
I have a few favorites - the small writing desk that was damaged in a burglary (Will), the bulldog ceramic (Kirsten), the Victorian outdoor lamp (Dom), the Louis Vuitton trunk (Susie), the large self-propelled model boat (Steve), the valuable painting that kids poked holes in (Lucia), the Wurlitzer jukebox, a pair of Dutch caned and upholstered chairs (Sonaz), and on and on!
It is a shame we don't have an "American equivalent" for The Repair Shop. I found the show on Netflix and was just so fascinated by the premise of the show, how they do the repairs, and the end results. That and the reactions show that the items that are brought in are more than just "trinkets" as they can range from family heirlooms to simple toys that have high value.
America isn't an old country but the UK loves their history good and bad however, it's a good idea to learn about things your great gran parents and beyond loved because you never know what tomorrow brings
I'd like to see them all swop round one week. The sewing ladies go outside and hit things with hammers in the forge. The metalwork one does the teddy bears and the woodwork guy mends the pottery
I wish I could find a site that streams all the shows. I saw a few episodes on Netflix, and a few of the restorations on the list I saw them do on the show. I love the show I love the memories it brings up for the people with the heirlooms and when the restorations touch the restorers, too. If I could have any one of my possessions restored, it would be my late father's 1940s Epiphone guitar (including the case!). It's so beautiful with its F holes and raised pick guard.
I was really looking forward to the final restorations? Why did you not show it? You should do one restoration from beginning to end in one video. Its a bit like showing us a wrapped present but not unwrapping it 😂
What the hell??? "Top 10 Restorations" and you don't show the finished product???? Whoever decided that would be a good idea should be fired. I rewound after the first item (the bike) because I thought I'd missed it...but no, I was right; no "after the restoration" pics. Utterly ridiculous. Like saying "look what I did to this dilapidated house", then only showing the ugly before pics. Turned off when I didn't see the finished guitar.
This was a very unsatisfactory video. I was assuming to see the owner expression at the result of the restauration. They showed the original episode that I had seen before. What a scam!
I'm sorry but this was such a disappointment. You never showed us the FINISHED product, you just made a statement that the items got repaired. Switched off after the first 3, maybe it improved. I won't be tuning in again 😞
@@rainpuppy14 So why no Indian person after all they have given you the National dish, been the back bone of the NHS, given you Yoga, all the white men want an Indian G/F.
@@rainpuppy14 To make the numbers up for the BBC for employing black adn Muslim people! Now we see how this game works! So Andie Oliver, Andy Peters, Angelica Bell. They are presumably hosts! It is incredible they have no Indian Male hosts, I dont mean Muslim I mean Hindu or Sikhs, you know, or may be you dont know the ones that have assimilated into the host without wanting Shariah law, not getting offended by cartoons, etc etc.

You jumped to something you were passionate about which became a lifelong gift to others and their precious possessions. Bravo 👏
I would have liked you to have shown the restored articles
I agree. Even just a few seconds footage or a still would have been nice.
Thanks, saved we watching anymore of the video!
Watch the show then lol. They probably have restrictions as it’s BBC content
@@tozzilil why would I watch the show if the title is "Top 10 Best RESTORATIONS"? You'd expect to see the restorations wouldn't you, clown!
Not watching again. This was a scam. No completed work shown.
This is far and away the best show on TV! These people are truly Master Artists.

The restorer of Number 7 - he’s a pinball wizard!
...this comment. There has to be a twist.
The who????
Only ten I can think of at least twenty to thirty more. I love all the stories the behind the item that are brought into the repair shop
Mojo get your facts right. The cat shown here is not ceramic but made of papier mache!!

It is a pity we don’t see the final product 5:44
I love this show
if youre not gonna show the end results or at least link to photos/videos of them elsewhere, what's the point of this list?
Love this show it’s so wholesome 🥰

BBC iPlayer
I luv the Repair Dhop!
Brilliant!
Hi I like watching this Repair shop 😄 ❤❤
for all of you wanting to watch the show, at least five seasons are available to watch right here on youtube.
No finished repairs? Tsk tsk!!😢 Many of us in the USA are not able to see these.
Very poor video. Before and after shots are a must. TRIPE!
I was really looking forward to the final restorations? Why did you not show it? You should do one restoration from beginning to end in one video. Its a bit like showing us a wrapped present but not unwrapping it 😂
I have a question about a track thats played in some of the episodes, Its on a piano like in S9 E11 at about 22 minutes. I like to have the componist.
How can you not show the final pieces.
Why didn't you show at least one quick shot of the restored piece? It would have improved this bit vastly.
I have a mantle clock that came from my Grandparent's farm that runs fast & will not hold the hour hand that I would love to have fixed
no end result whats the point
More repair shop please ,
I’ve watched all of the full episodes. The cat, if my memory serves me correctly was not porcelain. It was Paper Machete.
Wish you had shown the finished objects
You should have shown the finished project each time. Without that I’m sorry i watched this video
No Teddy Bear repair?

Longer videos puh-leeze!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
top programma repair shop
ayo did you know that Charles III will appear in a special episode airing on the 26th October 2022
Great programme but what does Jay do make the tea ?.
Seen on show. There is a pin ball game play
Makes NO sense, that we dont see the restored item given back to the owners.
Senseless video
I wonder if those guys can restore mtv...
I would like the Repair Shop to restore my dignity, but I'm afraid it's too far gone.
My synth started to roam numbers don't stick
What? Random bot comment perhaps?
Stopped watching when the two asian guys cryed over grandads favorite hammer
The monkey cane wow
Useless programme. We never see the end result! A cheat.
This was a very unsatisfactory video. I was assuming to see the owner expression at the result of the restauration. They showed the original episode that I had seen before. What a scam!
Why show the before but not the after. What a waste
Take my downvote for not showing the finished pieces.
Show us the restoration that's the whole point what a waste of time
I'm sorry but this was such a disappointment. You never showed us the FINISHED product, you just made a statement that the items got repaired. Switched off after the first 3, maybe it improved. I won't be tuning in again 😞
This programme is one of the most boring TV programmes I've ever seen. It makes the antiques roadshow look like a rave.
so you list these projects but, don't show them finished let alone being repaired??? what is the point of this useless video?
Jay Blades is there just to make up the Black quota. He does naff all
Actually he is the host of the show
And he sweeps up and makes the tea ,as well as being presenter
@@rainpuppy14 So why no Indian person after all they have given you the National dish, been the back bone of the NHS, given you Yoga, all the white men want an Indian G/F.
