- A last minute trip turns pretty scary when sharks predominate the first few hours. Launching before sunrise we mange to catch some small goggle eyes and then go off in search of opleu (mackerel scad). With plenty of bait we are mainly targeting yellowfin tuna that are feeding aggressively. Stay tuned for part two.

Glad you didn't flip when the shark pulled away and you had tight drag.
Not the best idea
Great videos slowly working through them all :)
Bravo from Israel ♥️
Another great video mate! Pesky sharks!! lol You definitely inspired me to create my own kayak fishing channel!
True that! Nice work.
A collab with you 2 would be awesome! Might be a bit hard given where you both live though lol Nice vid!
haha it would! Never say never lol
Right on bro. You can definitely do it
Cheers mate, have a look if your keen @@FlyingFish_TV
Whoa some frisky shark action! That was cool seeing those little grey hoodlums come up and try to vibe you!
Must have been fishing in their spot
Awesome shark action! Yeah, I never had to deal with them that big, only ever caught dog fish lol.
My friend fought a 16ft tiger shark, my biggest was 12ft. It’s only fun catching a shark one time.
how distant do you stay fron the coast? how much time does in take to reach that distance?
nice videos btw 💪🏻💪🏻
Great video! Very sharky!!
Can u make a video of the knots that u use and the hooks that u use
Action🤙, be safe our there. Aloha
Aloha! Love the videos. Just starting to go out further in my kayak and get it set up. Is there a technique you use to catch bait with your dashimi rig? Also how do you find the bait balls. I've ran across them on the surface before but it seems random. Do you just troll til you see bait on your depth finder? Thanks!
Go around until you mark a school and immediately drop to the right depth. After marking a school you can troll over the area until you find the school again.
You gotta respect the toothy critters. So far so good, but they seem to be unpredictable. What safety gear to have onboard, please link if you've already put up a video. Thanks
Still need to make that video
Good fishing Dan, personally I would like a little more hull between me and a shark. You mentioned about how fast the shark was. I watched a You tube vid of a Great white pursuing, catching and ultimately eating a seal in front of a tour boat......unreal how fast and agile a really large fish can be when hungry.......play safe.
When the sharks are like this I would definitely call it extreme kayak fishing
I’m glad I haven’t run into a great white yet. If I have I probably didn’t have any idea.
@@FlyingFish_TV I agree. Sharks just confused they don't eat people by choice. Seen a vid couple months ago where big blue was there feeding on a whale carcass. Maybe you seen it..............famous, huge shark.
A little divice to clip on to the line & travel down to the hook, that cuts right by the hook & locks on to the line. Also a hook that degrades in 1-2 weeks. For the sharks. To keep your fingers & hands.
What is the product called? About 90% of the time the sharks break off from line abrasion.
@@FlyingFish_TV their are generic hook removing tools on eBay, but I was thinking of something you could do at arms length. a pole made of aluminium, apple/fruit tree pruning arm, it's like a pair of Nail clippers on a stick with a lever pull handle. Something simple could be designed that slides down the line & grips the line as it clips off the end near the jaws.
"Gonna need a bigger boat"
Amazing vid!
you got a new sub
that jet ski i've talked about in the past must b sounding better and better? lol
Jetski would be awesome
I like them when they are that size..... remember we tried getting the hook back from that 10 footer lol... freaking nuts
Yeah fuuuu that
The dang sharks bro! Your luck lately. Have you ever used the red goat fish you catch on your damashi rigs for bait?
You can use them for uku. Put it 30ft off the bottom in 150-200ft.
@@FlyingFish_TV Thanks for the reply bro! Tight lines. Im going to try rigging some squid soon
I know you hate the shark action, but makes great viewing footage.
The sharks like you man😆
A little too much.
mate this video is epic you need to put more SHARK bait in the title an get these videos out there!
TheEAFOS I think your right, manipulate the algorithms. Get suggested to a far wider audience.
Insolent Stickleback yeh 100% and I wouldn’t even call it click hate cuz this was a seriously cool encounter and footage of sharks! Some people would be like SHARK ATTACKKK!!!!!!!!!! And you’d barely even see a shark in their video 😂😂 this video should have millions of views
Legitimately too. This guy is so damn calm and precise in his boat, like a freekin Kayak Ninja many more people need to see what he is doing out there!
Insolent Stickleback isn’t it man he’s literally the definition of no fucks given 😂 in a fuckin canoe with a shark the same size as him on a little fishing rod 😂😂💪🏼💪🏼
Crying on the inside lol. You can see it on my face in the thumbnail
How far off of land do you have to be to get yellowfin?
think that's a loaded question since it depends more on depth, no? couod be wrong tho
Den Mun yea, over here in Florida depth matters too but being on a kayak you can only go out so far. Just curious how far from land he usually has to go to get on the yellowfin.
@@Bryceeeeeeeez im on the east coast too, jersey... i guess what i was trying to say over in hawaii, they don't have a continental shelf so you can find depths and ledges that can place you in several thousand feet of water... within a "yak-able' distance" - which is impossible and nonexistent where we live.
I have caught them as shallow as 110ft and as deep as 3000ft. Generally I target them on the 150-200 ledge. That depends on the spot but around 1-2 miles offshore.
WHAT IS SKI MODEL

Hey what lb test do you use on your rods?
70lb braid to 50ft 40lb fluoro leader. Sometimes heavier or lighter leader
what kind of leader you using for that lure?
Just 40lb fluorocarbon to a 5/0 live bait hook. Somehow I managed to perfectly hook this sandbar shark in the corner of the mouth.
Thanks. I meant what lb test for the leader for the gt.
Oh gotcha 40lb
Nice vid Howley
Thanks. Ur profile pic a plate lunch 😂
Thought u were gonna flip
Freakin taxman!
I was audited...
how long before a shark knocks you out? or if the weather turns nasty? write your will.
1 out every 15 - 20 trips are this sharky. I was out in nasty weather today, you can read about it on my IG.
zrób polskie napisy
Ever had any encounters with white sharks out there? I know they are around In Hawaii
I have only seen white tip reef sharks while diving. Sandbar sharks and tigers are the main ones I see while kayak. Occasional Galapagos and hammerhead sharks.
Very crazy with small kajak with nasty shark. 🙄
Get a shark stick.....kaboom!
I need to get a bang stick
