Karl pilkington is a genuine simple,funny nice guy,he doesn't realise how funny he is without trying ,he understands things in a more realistic simple approach

We can never ravel back in time, but we can travel forward. EG, the Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away. If we could travel at 99.99999999% the speed of light, it would take 100 years to get there and back, but 5 million years will have passed on Earth. {:o:O:}

Now, the equations also affect space and distance, not only time, so it's not as straightforward as a simple conversion. But I think Brian Cox is 507,400 times closer than you are. Even if we take your figures that 5 years travelling at 99.9% the speed of light equals 36 years on Earth (it doesn't), it doesn't work out.
