  • Because of the emotions contained in explaining this background, there are things I could not remember to say. I am also thankful to all of my brothers and sisters, my step mother, and my extended family aunts and uncles and friends for all of the support that they gave me and continue to give me. Thank you to all my students and clients without whom I could not make a living.
My father did not know that I would go on to do this. He would pass a year before I made my first video. He was my hero. Much of my practical wisdom, ethics, and sense of morality came from my father. He was a strict father, yet kind-hearted, and his guidance gave me strength. I hope he is able to see who I am today and be proud of what he sees.
My mother was here for the first couple years of the channel, and was essential in that her consistent encouragement helped get the channel to where it is today. It is terrifying to put yourself up to an audience to be judged. To be evaluated. To be critiqued. Her encouragement was everything. I spoke to her nearly every day in her final couple years.
She purchased the first Logitech BRIO, which was a huge improvement in filming quality. You can see me thank her for it here: • New Webcam: Logitech BRIO
I cannot say enough about how impactful she was in the way that I interact with others. When I am encouraging to you or to others, I am channeling her empathetic nature, and her skill in listening which she had in greater amount than anyone I have ever met. She was the most beautiful woman I have ever known.
I am eternally grateful to both of them for their guidance and support.
May God rest both their souls.
Thank you sincerely to all of you who have watched my videos and interacted with them with likes and comments. Sorry that I have not been able to reply to them all. I wanted to especially recognize one commenter whose interactions were greatly valued and appreciated, username: Bobbius, just a very genuine and thoughtful individual.
Special Thanks to my friend Matt for his contributions.
Special Thanks to Frank for all of the encouragement and feedback he also gave. I consulted with him for a lot of the early videos especially the "How to Prepare" video the most watched video on my channel.
Special thanks also to Junaid Mansuri, my dear friend, for his consistent encouragement and friendship.
Special Thanks to Dongbum for the sound quality advice of getting the external sound box.
Special Thanks to Ritvik Rustagi, a genuine individual who has a fantastic sense of humor but also a desire to help others. He launched my Discord server with nothing in it for himself and now runs his own called TMAS Academy. I have spoken privately much with this individual, and I can only state he is a great person, and I wish him continued success in everything he does. Thank you for setting up the Discord server and being an active and supporting member of the Competition Math Community.
Thank you to the Moderators both past and present of my Discord server as well. Qual, Streak, both of whose character has been a pleasure to witness as they will soon move on to becoming men in this society we are all a part of.
In addition, KingRavi, though I know him not as well, he is a neat individual in his own right with a great sense of humor(check out his YT channel, he sings / @gaanasonata6582 )
Also to other former Discord moderators: bobthenotbuilder wishing her all the success, and all of the others who performed the service for their brief times there, forgive me if I am leaving off some of the names.
Thank you to my former employer(I am unsure they wish to be named) for being my friend over the years and loaning me the money to purchase the laptop that I now use to teach.
I maybe should have re-filmed in order to better say what I wanted and not leave some topics unfinished, but it's too difficult of a topic to speak of a second time. Thank you for understanding.
    A North Korea article: listverse.com/...
This desire to help others runs as the primary program on my system. To make a difference in the lives of those I meet. To be considerate of others in nearly all actions. If I can inspire any of you to anything, it's to take of your talents and use it to help others in any capacity you are able. Perhaps also to overcome all of the adversity that you face in whatever way that you can. Not everyone gets dealt the same hand. Don't lament the advantages others may receive. Accept life as it is and strive to be the best version of yourself that you can, even if it takes longer than others to get where you are going. Never give up. Never stop. You have but one life to live. Make of it whatever you are able to, by moving around whatever setbacks and obstacles are before you. Keep smiling. It matters.
    Above all: Gratitude.

Please take the time to read the description for the full context and additional messaging I forgot to include. Thank you for your time. Always. I may not respond to comments. I don't know. Difficult subject matter.

What an inspiring story...thank you for sharing this. Retired college math professor here, a longtime AMC fan and recent subscriber. I definitely agree your videos are especially helpful for modeling the thought process behind the solutions and include aspects that are occasionally lacking with AoPs and other resources. Keep up the great work you do!

The first time I saw your videos was only after the 2023 AMC 10A recap but even in a short month, I've seen you subscribers skyrocket. You deserve every single one of them.

You’re one of the best math teachers I’ve had because you approach problems I feel like students would approach them. All those professional math teachers with fancy degrees and high fee classes, their solutions all feel super artificial and “prepared”. But you solve the problems along with us. There is a saying that a boss merely commands others but a leader does and shows by example. You are a leader. Cheers!

You are a great teacher and explain the internal workings of your head when solving a problem which is a highly valuable skill. Too often, math teachers just start moving things around without explaining how to do math. I'm glad to see your channel take off this far from where it originally started, and remember that just because you can be upset if your house burned down, even if you were lucky enough to make it out alive with your family while the rest of the neighborhood did not.
    Cheers to getting this far!🥳

As you mentioned, the answers to the amc's on AOPS aren't the most descriptive. I was wondering if you had access to MMA's official contest and solutions pamphlets and where to obtain them. Thank you!

You can order them directly from MAA website by selecting from their order form. Last I checked, it had to be printed out and faxed into them which is nuts in 2023, but what can we do. Just search around the subheaders to find where to download the order form from. I find most of the time those solutions are higher quality, but about 25% of the time, other solutions are better.
