I personally wear salwar and saree to work all the time. And people literally admire the way I dress up. I guess no MNC will discriminate their employees on basis of their dressing unless it not looking vulgar.

TRUE. There are people who don't know the difference between comfort and culture. Clothes and appearence don't define a person. For example I love to wear formals and I am comfortable in formals(suit) rather than salwar or saree. Sometimes I wear saree or salwar. But that doesn't mean I don't respect Indian culture. I love my culture and I am proud to be an Indian. Comfort and Culture are equally important. It totally depends on the person that who shall wear which type of clothes in which he/she is comfortable.
Yes very true. One should always make ourselves comfortable, presentable, good-mannered, polite, decent, self-confident, natural etc while dealing with domestic clients and international clients, especially when dealing with international clients.

I am from Mauritius Island and here we can wear kurtis and sarees at any office, at any functions...😂😂😂 even our female ministers wear sarees and kurtis in parliaments....proudly... It's our culture and we have to be proud of it....
Sorry , I don't support today's content. Traditional Indian official dress is "saree" not salwar suit. Or Shirt with trouser is also official dress. Shirt & trouser most suit as these dresses makes comfortable during desk job. Jeans can make comfortable during site visits. So don't take it otherwise. But this is correct that capabilities based on education not dresses.

I think some officers have particular formal attire the boss is not asking her to wear shorts or something but it's just that head residential areas you need to wear formals
