The statistics given for statins reducing the risk of stroke and coronary events are given as RELATIVE risk versus ABSOLUTE risk. There’s a huge difference and that should’ve been explained.

Awesome presentation Dr.! As a WFPBNO eater, I am so frustrated by my cholesterol numbers; 244 total, 60 HDL, 152 LDL. I don’t eat processed or fake foods, very clean eater. Dr. has me retaking cholesterol test in 6 months, hoping it’s a fluke. Listening to your presentation, I now know test to ask for. BTW, also cut out nuts, avocados etc in year prior to last test. After reading portfolio diet, I’ve added back 1/4 cup of almonds a day. Hoping it helps.

Individual results vary. No guarantees no matter what the experts push.

      What's your BMI ?
My lipids were similarly poor on a WFPB diet, but BMI over 29. At a BMI of 26.5 my LDL and triiglycerides were low 70s.

If you lift weights 5 days a week and trying to build muscle, how much soy is to much to eat in a day, does anyone know?

    • @yangtse55

As said here, soy is good for you even beyond the protein Presumably treat it like any other protein in terms of grammes per kilo of healthy body weight.
