    Thanks for this video. How do you like those Work Sharp precision sharpeners? It looks similar to this device.

      The work sharp works very well to touch an edge and for your typical home shapener. To put an initial edge on the Wicked Edge professional machine is what we use. They are expensive ($1,500) but for the production numbers we do it’s a must.

      I've got the works sharp and I do like it. You just have to watch the pressure you put on it... the clamp will let it bow a little even if you brace it up.

    Thanks for sharing. What is the finest grit do you usually sharpen your blades?
    I noticed that 80CrV2 steel doesn't like a very fine edge, but at F400-F600 it is just wicked.

      I’m taking these to 1000 using the diamond stones to keep the edge toothy.
