Most people don't realize that when John makes note of his early 70's era Michigan whitetail kills, that elevated hunting wasn't legal yet. Those were from the ground! Mad respect from a fellow Michigan archery whitetail hunter since 1972.
John, I'm 58, and I've bowhunted 41 years. You and I are similar. I've studied deer since age 12. I strictly hunt public land. Moved from Mississippi 5 years ago to Kansas, lived there 2 years, bought my life time hunting license, and moved to Iowa. All to deer hunt these 2 states every year.
Pretty much no sleep for 4 days! This guy is the navy seal of hunting. Haha love it though, you can tell he absolutely is passionate about bow hunting and he remembers every kill. Much love from Minnesota

I owe a lot of the way I hunt to John. I bought his CDs years ago. He is the reason I went to saddle stlye hunting and never looked back. He brought a lot of good ideas to the table including using mini vans ,lol. John used totes to organize his scent free clothing years ago. His CDs are still as good today as the were back in the day.
Eberhart and Infalt are the Godfathers of modern whitetail hunting. Different tactics that work well and the knowledge and experiences of both these men have been past on. Very impressive of Eberhart to recall the accounts of each kill and catch.
I thank its really cool for these old deer to live on public and grow old on it imagine the stories the deer would have through bow muzzleloader and gun season
LEGEND!!!!!!! Speechless!!!! Awesome job guys again on a incredible whitetail Cribs episode, just when you think you can’t get any better, Have me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one!!!
This is a real hunter - does it the right way, had more success than any of us could imagine, numerous state records, but is extremely humble, down to Earth and friendly. John can remember the stories with each deer from decades ago like it was yesterday. A great person that we all can learn a lot about hunting and life from.
Dang, one common theme in all of these so-called CRIB posts. I need the cleaning service for my properties to stay in the game with these beyond pristine places! Impressive! Back in the day John was know Ed as one hell of a trespasser and poacher, that's probably why he went to hunt out of a saddle ,so it would be harder to be caught ,years ago John told a good friend of mine that you can't be afraid to go where the big bucks are that he would gladly pay the $80 tresspass fee
@@bobo44donemilking51 tresspassing and poaching are two different things, and theres a reason heresay is not admissible in court, people always try to knock down those who are successful . Are you trying to tell people that he poached or tresspassed 50 pope and young bucks? Nice try........
In Ohio and Illinois he hunts in the tree at night , if there is snow and near the park that has plenty of lighting ,his ex wife told 2 of my friends and his one son told my buddy
Great video. You guys need to do a whitetail cribs on my uncle. Denny Stiner here in Central Illinois. He’s hunted everything from deer and small game here in the Midwest, all the way to big game in Africa. He has a very impressive collection.
