It's getting that time again. I saw some drones during my inspection today too. And got plenty of stings also. Got one hive that's continuously been hot, so I think that Queen is going to go live on a farm this year.
Seriously! Lol. They are with making babies or they aren’t. Maybe they are worried about a cold snap? But from what I’m seeing in the forecast, spring is here.
I have had bees active since the start of the month. I'm in the North of England latitude 55° North, they are at least a month early. Plenty of pollen from the garden centres but each hive is taking two pints of honey water per week.
It’s shaping up to be a good spring here in Oklahoma. Seams about 3-4 weeks ahead here as well. I’m also feeding some sugar to help them out as they build. Lots of pollen coming in, but a little early for nectar still.
@@DRIECUTHoney Good to hear. I haven't gotten down into mine yet. We're still expecting to get down in the low 20's°F later this week. I'm anxious to see how they are coming along, and hopefully will be able to do so in a couple weeks as it looks we'll finally be out of the coldest temps by then.
They are looking good my friend. I have dropped them like that before. It makes for some angry bees sometimes. Hope you have a great bee season this year.
Looks like Spring is getting ready to bounce all over ya buddy. 😱I did that with a deep full of Italians,🤬they didn't like it. The most I've ever been stung was that day.🥴
Yeah, idk what the heck is wrong with me. Lol. That box is pretty banged up and rounded on the edges, but typically I turn the box a little so it doesn’t slip out like that. I guess I’m out of practice
Pure chaos… no it’s a 360 camera. I had it too close. Honestly I wasn’t planning on posting anything but since this happened I decided to go ahead and make a video. Has the camera going because I need to practice speaking. And holding on to boxes, apparently

Bees looking good. Gotta love the first stings of the year
I guess I had these coming, lol

They generally aren’t too bad, but tossing their hive of into the yard doesn’t seam to help
I am with you, I don't know about false spring. I had a hive today with swarm cells in it.

The bees are bringing in pollen here in the Ozark Highlands.
They are brooding up good here in NE, Oklahoma. Been having cold spells and rain, but apparently it’s been good for the plants.

1:05 It’s a trap! The weather has been mild here in Indiana as well but more freezing weather is expected. 🥶
I still haven’t put out any swarm traps! I’m never ahead of schedule lol
@@DRIECUTHoney I’ve been thinking about getting traps out but that’s as far as I got in this weather 😂
Been there done that.
I try not to make a habit of it, lol. Thanks for watching

Man it’s looking good so far! I’ll try to keep the keep the unforced errors to a minimum, lol. Thanks for watching.
I had a whole lot of pollen coming in today. It got up to 65 degrees and they were very active. Great looking bees.
It was 60 today. Too nice not to have a quick peek inside. Plus I wanted to get an idea for how much they are building up. Thanks for commenting, Brad

Yah, for some strange reason some hurts more than others.
It’s probably just because I’m soft. Lol
A oops moment. 😅

Tag you it. It’s gonna be go time pretty soon for the bees. Oh by the way if you move that fast on the ice , you should be an all star
I move super fast, just not always in the right direction! Lol
What the heck is your camera system?

@@DRIECUTHoney Fascinating William!
They definitely don’t like being disturbed right now. Can you blame them though?
They definitely don’t like being disturbed like this. Typically it goes a little smoother.
