Strongly influenced guitarist from the style of Big Bill Broonzy, Jimmy Rogers will conquer, in the early Fifties, the fame of being an excellent Blues musician. In Harmonica and rhythm guitar in the orchestra of Muddy Waters (together with Little Walter, Otis Spann, Elgin Evans and Willie Dixon), he participates in the most important engravings of the post-war Chicago Blues. The Aces - Chicago Beat, was the leanest, most powerful and most popular Swingante rhythm section of the Blues of the second post-war Chicago era.

This is from the CD, Chicago Blues Masters Compilation. Piano player is Bob Riedy. Freddie King on several cuts. Bill Lupkin on harp too. Some other musicians too.
