The music mode is still living testimony to the fact that Hindustani classical traces roots in Persian music or may be the Raga music travelled far to Persia from Indian sub continent.Whatever it is, it proves that deserts and mountains merge with rivers and oceans in MUSIC that emanates from Nature. If music unites who are humans to divide?

you're playing the song really well, in fact i didn't notice any flaws with the notes or the timing, the only flaw i see in the video, is the form your playing with. a great pianist like you(in my opinion) should work more on his/her form.
I dont know any website that fully describes the persian scales but one thing i know about them is that they usually cannot be played with traditional western instruments like the piano, and when they are, some notes need to be altered, because in persian music, each note is divided into 4 parts instead of the normal 2 parts that are the flats and the sharps, which is basically what gives persian music the feeling that it has, so in traditional persian instruments, there can be 4 frets between each note on the fret board.
@titchymcmidget Theres no need for you to be so aggressive about what YOU believe! Many people call iran persia because they are proud of the past and dont want it to be forgotten!! I'd rather call myself a persian as people respect me more when i bring that name up.
