I am new to this acrylic art. I’m currently using it for tumblers but I have found in me a new desire to explore my potentials. Ever since I had spine surgeries I have been so to speak on a shelf. As a single dad to a now teen daughter, it is so hard to help fulfill her needs and dreams. It’s mentally and emotionally exhausting. Acrylic art and alcohol inks have turned my being into a very positive outlook. Watching this video brought tears to my eyes. I’ve always wanted to paint galaxies. I believe your tutorial has given me the confident needed to “just go for it”. Thank you.
I know you commented this two years ago but I hope you still find the time to make art and nourish your creativity. I’m sure your daughter thinks it’s awesome you wanna do this.
This Made Me cry, My grandfather died two weeks ago. Everytime I look up at the sky in the night I see a beautiful sky just like this painting. And I think that My grandfather is one of those beautiful stars ✨⭐️
I’m going to paint this as a gift. My best friend has been by my side for 4 years and loved me even when I didn’t want to live on this planet anymore. She’s pulled me back from a path of darkness and I can never thank her enough. I’m going to paint this for her and write “You are my universe” because my god do I love her. I’ll edit later and let y’all know what she says. Edit: She cried tears of joy.
@@mysteryherrara7723 i think its a little bit of both, but it looks like she dabs a little more than circular motions. Her art is *STUNNING* and the music is peaceful 🌌🌌🌌
I like that you include all the paint colors before you start. It is very useful to paint along with. Has a nice feel of the galactic gases floating by using a sponge. Thanks for sharing!
It's my fathers birthday next week and he loves to study the universe, I'm glad that there a people out there that show this admiration for how amazing it would look on a canvas!
This is the easiest and most beautiful painting of a galaxy that I have seen done. Thanks for sharing with us! I am going to try it myself and hope it turns out well enough to put up on my wall somewhere
Looks great! I use washing up sponges a lot in art- the rough side is especially good. I never thought of tapping the brush- been flicking the paint off the brush which makes some nice big circles and smaller ones at times, but never thought of tapping the brush to get very fine ones- I was flicking the paint out of the edge of my containers! Great tip thanks.
I am going to have a go at this, never thought about using a sponge before, not an artist but I think I will have a go and see what I can come up with thank you so much for sharing xxx Great watch and so relaxing x
This technique is exactly what I've been looking for!! Amazing, absolutely amazing, perhaps you could apply this to painting the northern lights, absolutely loving it.
I just buy the foam board that's already black and do the same thing. I love painting with a sponge it leaves a nice cloudy texture when painting galaxies. Great vid!😊👍
cant believe this outcome, I thought it would end up a blur of blues and purples but once again you pulled off a miracle, I hope I have the courage to try it
Oh yes! I also cut up kitchen sponge and round off the edges. Makeup sponges work too. I save sponge from headphone packaging and cut it into small sizes (free is always nice!). Sea sponges are great but more expensive so I don't really use those very often. Thanks for watching. Have a great day! :)
its really good, but IDK why but I got this feeling that I wanna go back in time and look back at everything I took for granted and see what I have missed and see the world back to normal.
thanks so much for sharing this. This high speed/beginning to end video is great. Glad to see the palette in the frame. I am making a modified PC case and am planning to paint a galaxy on the side. This is so helpful. AND the quiet mellow acoustic music is perfect viewing it in the background to relax. I will paint my first practice galaxy today. :)
I made this last night and it was so beautiful. For those people who is still thinking whether you should do this or not,my answer to you is,yes, trust me you should do it.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
A very easy and simple way to do this is rip apart the sponge add a dark color, a darker color and a light color press that into the sponge and go to town! Afterwards just splatter white paint by tapping the brush (recommend using a small brush)
Me: *sees start of video* ok so I’ve made all of the colours! I think I’m ready to start. Video: “ I painted surface with BLACK acrylic paint and allowed it to dry completely.” Me: *looks at canvas* well Shi-.. Lol well on a serious note it was a good tutorial/video and it was definitely worth me doing it. You are talented and I hope you know that. Thanks.
This is AWESOME!!!!! I was just looking through 5 Minute Crafts for this, but then gave up and found this!!! I just wanted to do something like this and hang it up by my bed. It’s a good thought!
*OHHH MY GOODNESS* 🌌🌠🌌🌠🌌🌠🌌🌠🌌🌠🌌🌠🌌 im completely *OBSESSED* with your art and channel. I cannot stop watching your videos. Im an artist myself, but you have taught me new tricks and its safe to say that *you're my favorite channel on RUclips now*

Did you use circular motions or just dabbing motions?
@@mysteryherrara7723 i think its a little bit of both, but it looks like she dabs a little more than circular motions.

It all comes together once you add the stars
I really appreciate you showing how you mix colors and what the sponge looks like with the paint on it. Thank you!

Lovely. Doesn't look like much until the white and it all comes together. Well done
I swear by this tutorial. I've been using it for years. It's the only one that's ever worked for me.
I love all of your Nebula and galaxy work. Really tranquil! Thank you for sharing! So glad you are out there doing what you are doing!
this is what you call amazing talent!!!!!

This turned out beautifully! My 8 yr ol daughter and I made our first Galaxy paintings today with acrylic and hers turned out amazing
Simple and easy work.. luved it...
Can I just use regular kitchen sponges and cut them in half? I can’t afford to get the sea sponges and I’m trying to find an alternative.
Oh yes! I also cut up kitchen sponge and round off the edges. Makeup sponges work too. I save sponge from headphone packaging and cut it into small sizes (free is always nice!). Sea sponges are great but more expensive so I don't really use those very often. Thanks for watching. Have a great day!

Hey! I just made a video on my channel painting a nebula using only brushes if you want to see it 💕
Wow. That’s so pretty! 😮 😯 😲
From lightyears to centimetres, nothing to something, vastness brought to beauty.
It is very beautiful
how did you flick the white paint for stars, did you just tap the paint brush?
Looks so cool!
It's beautiful!
Thank you.
:)
Watching these videos makes me want to paint again!
So beautiful....
This was so helpful. I used this as inspiration and my painting looks pretty darn good.
It was awesome .I just love it
Love this. Prettiest one I have seen.
So for making these in general do you put the darker paint first that get some areas with the lighter color
Did the black paint dry completely before u started painting with the sponge on it?
Just beautiful
I tried it and it definitely works... Worth a try!! Thnx for this best tutorial
WOW you have beautiful hands!
Just wondering what effects you could create with a natural sponge. Have you tried it? Could be interesting to see.
Vraiment sublime!!!!
Looks awesome
Wow 😮
it is excellent😱
I'm doing one right now......I love your video.......thank you so much ......
Cool! Thank you so much!
I tried this and it came out fricking gorgeous!!!
I’m about to get started on this I think I’m overthinking the dabbing versus blending with the sponge technique once you start do you kind of just get a feel for it?
Ima do this to a table and it's gonna be great
What type of sponge do you use? Is it something you can get at a art supply shop?
You can get sea sponges at art supply stores (they are expensive and not really necessary for this painting) or just use a kitchen sponge cut into smaller pieces. I actually used some sponge from headphone packaging (repurposed and free!)... it works...lol
Very nice painting ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
This is stunning! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. I am a big universe fan,, I watch everything I can you are by far the best!
I tried this out and it turned out amazing! Thank you so much for this video , you did such an amazing job ! 😄
