The input is not that important to be honest. You can make music out of silence if you distort it bad enough and shape it in the coherent frequencies. I'm not devaluing OP's efforts, don't get me wrong. It takes a lot of time and dedication (also storage for VST libraries and CPU to power them), my point it's not the input that's important.
