    Really admire this mother! So sorry for her disappointment with her ex. She is so brave, smart and beautiful. She should get an English speaking job. She is so very impressive. I wish her a happy life loving herself and children.

    Such a lovely woman! She is so beautiful. If she is reading this,: "You don't fail anyone or anything" he failed you and his responsibilities and basic decency. Lift your head up high and keep moving forward :)

    This is really really hard to watch. I wish the best to this young woman. I hope she can shine in the future. Her children will see this in the future and they are going to see how of a strong woman She is

    @3:46, That’s a very interesting observation.
    One of my Japanese teachers commented when my class of English speakers spoke, our Japanese voices had a higher pitch, than when we spoke English!
    I thought it was because it was a second language and Werner native speakers. Perhaps, it’s actually that Japanese speakers “feel” the need to use a higher pitch?!
    Just a thought! 😊

    I work for a Japanese company but in America, my friend I have made from Japan speaks highly of Japan! I just started trying to learn Japanese so I can communicate with him better

      Haha my husband is like that. When he's in Japan he can't find anything good about it except the food, but living in America, there's nothing better than Japan. xD Good luck on your studying!

    Great, positive personality. I get the hardships socially, I have had a close Japanese friend for 35 years and I do my best to practice 日本語, but even to this day because he is very traditional and age wise so am I, yet outgoing, I am still cracking the code on the cultural differences. As far as family support goes, I get it, I NEVER had support raising my kids from external family.

    Interesting how she completely changes the pronunciation of her last name in English compared to when she speaks Japanese. That is something I don't do as a German as my name is completely butchered if you pronounce it im English🙃

    I feel like it would be really easy to be her friend. Side note: in Kobe there are TONS of hafu kids. My daughter was so excited when we were there because she found kids that look just like her. I think we only saw a handful of NON-hafus! (It was a little weird really.) Being a mom in general is really lonely, and even married - when you don't have family it's really hard, that's why we're moving to Japan - my parents have passed and we don't have any family here in the US. One of the things I really like about Japan is the one-parent custody system lol. I can't wait until I never have to deal with my ex again. In Japan you have a choice to decide to co-parent with the other person or never see them again, in America you're forced to deal with them until all of the kids are adults whether you want to or not, and whether they even want to be a parent or not.

    What about if you are a single mom because you are a widowed and your husband is dead from cancer?!
