It’s cool when her kiwi accent slips out on certain words or sounds - her accent is a fascinating mezcla of international school English, Kiwi, and Japanese.
I’m a kiwi and her voice sounds like an interesting mix of Japanese and NZ. Not really an NZ accent at all but more of a neutral Japanese blend. It also sounds as though she is speaking simply and carefully so as to be better understood by non-native English speakers.
I cannot tell that her accent is NZ. I'm also a NZer living in Japan and every time I hear her in a video it just never sounds like a kiwi accent to me. "More and more people my age have children but are working which is nice" Nah that's just way worse. It would be nicer if they were able to spend their time raising their children. I feel like there's going to be some push back against this at some point when the population collapse really gets bad.
What do people expect her to sound like as a NZer? We don’t all sound the same, perhaps she’s just well educated 🤔. Well done to her for making a home in Japan.
@@SeventhPhoenix She doesnt, I'm also a Kiwi who lives in Japan and her accent doesnt sound like NZ to me. It sounds like she's a non-native English speaker but I cant place the accent. I understand that she is a Kiwi, but she doesnt sound like it.
