I'm a 64 y/o woman who is able to learn the songs of my youth from your generous tutorials, James. Thank you for bearing up under the haters and carrying on.
Thank you. Fine job--as always. Want you to know that your energy isn't wasted. I appreciate you taking the time & energy to provide accurate and inspirational material for motivated learners of good music. I have learned so many valuable techniques, riffs, runs & rhythms from your offerings. Your lessons & demos are thorough, yet succinct & concise. spot on. . . Peace.
Best explanation of those drop D chords I could find. I heard this song on SiriusXM “The Bridge” and I set out to learn those differently voiced chords. Thanks.
Great Lesson! Glad to see you're still a DAWG at heart. LOL You were just a tyke when this came out. That Central Park concert footage is great! She was smokin back in those days and with a voice that was perfect for her songs and those times. Thanks for bringing this one back around!
I love your channel. It's perfect for intermediate players like me. Thanks for your efforts. Also, your videos remind me of Tim the Tool Man's neighbor Wilson, or Waylon Jennings playing the intro to the Dukes of Hazzard. All we see is your hands - never your face on TV!
nice i heard you say on this video '''''this is a G6 chord " most of the time when it a 6th or 9th you would say" I dont know the name of that chord but someone will chime in" .... great tutorial as always
Thanks mate for a great Carly Simon lesson. Just an observation, your videos the last few days have been darker than normal, like you are playing in the shade. Makes it difficult to see frets. Cheers
Well, it gets dark earlier these days. Besides, it shouldn't take more than a few seconds to figure out the frets. If it ain't the fret you tried, try the fret next to it. :)

6th chords I generally know because you just take the 7th note and go down one. That's the extent of my knowledge of music theory. :)

James James Jesus, JJ, sometimes your loquacious wit entertains me as much as your covers/tutorials...
