He was in my class, and we were both in the school theater group. David was a swimmer[so the life guard role was a cinch for him], I was on the football team; so in a way, we were both 'gleeks'. No one had any idea Dave would become as famous as he did.

Meaning, it's more than just the perfect technique, her emotions as a solo artist, her one-of-a-kind life performances and her pure soul is a big part of her success.
