I love how uThermal pops into a tournament and decides to go "la-la-la I'm gonna proxy a bunch of stuff" and actually does pretty well with it. It must be so frustrating for the other players. That's why we love this guy :D
When he said he lost the PF Rush I was so sad because I wanted to see a game with the strat. When he then said he was going to PF Rush again anyway, I actually sat up in my chair. The balls of brass on that man. I love the guy.
Lowko predicted it. "Looking how uThermal is playing here i would not be surprised seing a a video pop on his channel named like " i cheese every march in a 400$ tournament"". He was damn rigth 🤣
12:47 "Just to find out that with this build I literally don't even have enough units to kill a single unit under a battery." Footage: his units killing an adept.
That first guy... God do I feel bad for him. Especially after seeing you float 2k minerals and still wining. How are mere mortals supposed to contend with these shenanigans haha
That guy is really good he's an old friend it's a bad game for him He's a friend from wc3 beta.. he was so rude with cheesy builds don't feel bad for him!!! Hahahha
The explanation you give at around 3:20 I think is applicable for most competitive games. You want to get to a point that most of what you're doing is 2nd nature and you're reacting to certain situations and basing your builds and decision making off of that because your fundamentals for the game are already so good. Most people tend to call this kind of play your "autopilot" which can be good or bad. I coach competitive smash bros and one of the biggest thing about fighting games is after you've practiced your combos and disadvantage and stuff, you're really just figuring out scenarios and figuring out your default option out of that scenario. Of course you need to adapt but that's the basics of it. You can definitely tell uthermal knows what he's doing and what he's talking about as a competitor. While I don't play competitive Starcraft II. It is my favorite esport / video game to watch because of players like him and the knowledge and understanding they have about competitive gaming. Love every great video you release!
uThermal is arguably my favourite high level SC2 player to watch play. He's innovative & not scared to do different things against the current META gamestyles against the best players.
That tank viking build reminded me of the SC2 AI developed by a Chinese company that Oliveira lost to years ago. Great call on landing your vikings in that fight vs Ryung in game 3.
Lol classic Uthermal! A build fails hard, so better do it again! And it works twice! Also love to see the lessons learned from BAR, radar is op! A beautiful addition to your pf rush :)
Not gonna lie, ive been having a stressful year due to personal life decisions and coming across your video and listening to you makes me laugh. Which i haven't done since i got arrested last year, haahah keep it up bro
Duuude the world is so little, I relate you bro, even the arrest part and the laughs I couldn't have until uthermal came xd I'm from Bolivia tho, can you believe it?
17:47 a robo pivot with a prism to transport some probes would do it relatively smoothly. But I'm not a pro, so maybe that's not possible with constant harassment.
That third game he really needed to warp prisim out a probe and do a ninja base, recall his extra probes out ... even a warp cycle of zlots into your min line
I don't play tournaments, pro players, or even random multiplayer. But speaking of PF rushes, I played against a friend quite a while ago where I literally peppered the map with PFs. He couldn't go anywhere without running into one lol. I ended up losing of course, once he finally decided to focus on my main base, as I had burned so many resources in the PFs, but it was still a hilarious game!
Lol i love it, when they actually have to think they are already losing Edit: this is a very challenging game and normally less thinking means operating smoothly and making fewer mistakes, but props to you for entertaining us!
I have a date right now, but now that finally a new Uthermal video came out, I had to cancel it. Joking, but I will definitely watch this first thing in the morning tomorrow 😂
w video! you put me on to planetary rushes. if you get the planetary down near their natural its almost always ggs. i dont think toss or protoss can beat it if it goes unscouted .
What you said in the beginning about pro players playing it safe is so incredibly true. I have over half a dozen strategy games that I follow loosely for entertainment seen sooo many excellent players losing against objectively worse players because they have been hesitant to deal a killing blow and rather went for restock and rearm. And while I understand the logic the statement you lost because you are too good a player is fascinating to me.
3:03 it's like that drunk man fight style. You think it's gonna be easy, but then you get hit quite hard and get really confused. I have to fight while crouching now?
The pf rush you should be building a barracks for vision. Just put that bad boy on the low ground, pick it up and fly it over some turrets. No need to waste on scans.
"Don't you know, there are some things that can beat smartness and foresight? Awkwardness and stupidity can. The best swordsman in the world doesn't need to fear the second best swordsman in the world; no, the person for him to be afraid of is some ignorant antagonist who has never had a sword in his hand before; he doesn't do the thing he ought to." (Mark Twain) You're far from untrained, but you're unconventional. That's why they lose to you, because you "don't do what you ought to do." 😂
I got proxy ghost rushed the other day (gold leauge lol) so maybe give that a go against the next protoss - if its not scouted and they don't go straight into robo/stargate, then its obviously really hard to counter
19:26 if you had those scv's idle with auto repair on i feel like this is SOOO fucking difficult to break. he doesn't even kill that auto turret it would be instantly repaired no micro.
I have come to the conclusion that APM is a totally worthless metric when the "best players" just click everything 5340985034978503485 times while waiting for things to finish when normal players just sit there and wait for the same conclusion.
Idk, they are the "best players" after all. Could be a mental boost that keeps thier hands/mind highly active so when they need the apm for the match they already have the intensity built up to effectively react. Playing first person tactical shooter, in pre-round I aim and shoot at my teammates heads for the that exact reason. If I don't I go into my rounds with this casual mental and I just get wrecked. Then I tap heads preround as if I'm in the match and once the round starts I'm subconsciously ready and my reaction time DOUBLES sometimes. Not always but when I'm lacking it helps to keep my mind in it. Just a thought.
Amazing content! Question, why did you GG game 1 vs Maxpax? You were both on 1 base, I imagine it was pretty equal in terms of economy, was it just tech advantage in blink?
Hey Marc! Cheers for another nice episode! :) I asked in the past, would you consider to put back the original death animation with blood & drag doll physic? Instead the black magical death smoke? As it´s one of the best part for years, when watching your play & all the action that is happening! :) I dunno, it feels so empty & dull with out it & missing out sometimes, onto what disappears & what does not, sometimes? :/ A little bet less entertaining as well, as if some music or sound was missing out? Saying it out in a polite way! :)
i wonder when i see a lowko casted game with you in it... i see players he often casts like clem, maxpax so i assume at some point if not allready he casts a game with you in it
Against the highest level of players cheesing is better than playing straight, like playing against Serral in a straight macro game, we all saw it, Uthermal won with like 70% handicap while he won against him doing some cheese that was too much for even Serral.
you are good with every race... can you maybe play random in a ternament? i mean technically it is good for you becouse your good with all and that gives you way more unpredictable proxis
I love how uThermal pops into a tournament and decides to go "la-la-la I'm gonna proxy a bunch of stuff" and actually does pretty well with it. It must be so frustrating for the other players. That's why we love this guy :D
uThermal is very good. I was impressed with his performance at ESL Europe with random taking out PtitDrogo in PVP
A lot of these players would die to a 3 worker rush. Uthermal cant planetary if the initial worker on the barracks is facing drone rush
The thing is timed attacks and proxy attacks are very viable.
u thermal exists to spite on pro players
When he said he lost the PF Rush I was so sad because I wanted to see a game with the strat. When he then said he was going to PF Rush again anyway, I actually sat up in my chair. The balls of brass on that man. I love the guy.
I am a simple man, I see a sensor tower in front of Toss' main and I press like.
Lowko predicted it. "Looking how uThermal is playing here i would not be surprised seing a a video pop on his channel named like " i cheese every march in a 400$ tournament"". He was damn rigth 🤣
Haha true. Thanks for remembering me😂
12:47 "Just to find out that with this build I literally don't even have enough units to kill a single unit under a battery."
Footage: his units killing an adept.
You need reading comprehension.
That first guy... God do I feel bad for him. Especially after seeing you float 2k minerals and still wining. How are mere mortals supposed to contend with these shenanigans haha
That guy is really good he's an old friend it's a bad game for him
He's a friend from wc3 beta.. he was so rude with cheesy builds don't feel bad for him!!! Hahahha
"But that's not what I'm gonna do at all!" 😂
UThermal is just the guy that is good enough to say "random bullshit, go!" And make it work
44:45 the ;; is so korean lol, sweat marks haha

that one marauder: nah bruh you're going down with me BLOWS UP ONE TRACK OF THE CYCLONE
That sensor tower put a smile on my face :)
It is direct slap opponent in the face, and then put a webcam at the bathroom. 🤣🤣🤣
I missed these videos a lot, it's been a while since I saw one haha
sensor tower on a successful pf rush seems the best move lol.
My favorite youtuber at the moment. Used to play times ago now im coming back after watching your videos. I love how you enjoy the game.
23:42 Inspired by a psycotic build enhanced by crazyness... sounds about right.
"planetary fortress rush is a bit of an underrated strategy" - no grandmaster... ever
That tank viking build reminded me of the SC2 AI developed by a Chinese company that Oliveira lost to years ago. Great call on landing your vikings in that fight vs Ryung in game 3.
I remember that!
Mom! Mom get the camera the funny space game man is back at it again!
Sick series! Game 1, 3 and 4 were amazing! Ggwp
Lol classic Uthermal! A build fails hard, so better do it again! And it works twice!

12:26 I like the Picard Maneuver here!
Respect man! Good to see your games and you having fun with it!
This is like watching the movie "Tin Cup" Starcraft edition. Love it!
You are the goat. Still making starcraft fun well into the current era.
Dad's back!
No daddy no.

5:30 The Protoss blocked his own Probes, RIP
Just a remainder, I ALWAYS cheer for ya mate... Nice gameplay!
Lol i love it, when they actually have to think they are already losing
Edit: this is a very challenging game and normally less thinking means operating smoothly and making fewer mistakes, but props to you for entertaining us!
Wow I fully watched this video and it was great! Thanks
18:30 DUDE this is because you got used to building an abundance of cheap radar in BAR!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a date right now, but now that finally a new Uthermal video came out, I had to cancel it. Joking, but I will definitely watch this first thing in the morning tomorrow 😂
gl hf
Nerds dont date liar

I get that same feeling I used to get watching Huskeys bronze league heroes when I watch your cheese games.
That opponent’s move was fire, but uThermal is straight-up lava! 😂 Always out here turning GG into EZ haha!
That first game was art
25:50 Air control with tanks and marrines? Flying tanks?
The pf rush you should be building a barracks for vision. Just put that bad boy on the low ground, pick it up and fly it over some turrets. No need to waste on scans.
I swear, Psychotic marc is my spirit animal
My dude. I love these videos.

u make me wanna play starcraft again this looks hilarious
I got proxy ghost rushed the other day (gold leauge lol) so maybe give that a go against the next protoss - if its not scouted and they don't go straight into robo/stargate, then its obviously really hard to counter
"hello guys, let's do some random stuff against the top 6? terran in the world" easy win
19:26 if you had those scv's idle with auto repair on i feel like this is SOOO fucking difficult to break. he doesn't even kill that auto turret it would be instantly repaired no micro.
Looking On your videos gives me refresh feeling on starcraft
Speed cloak banshee's are totally underrated.

Yeah exactly. Surely you're not doing anything useful more than maybe twice a sec at absolute peak.
Idk, they are the "best players" after all. Could be a mental boost that keeps thier hands/mind highly active so when they need the apm for the match they already have the intensity built up to effectively react. @@williamcalhoun7841true man
Confidently wrong 😂 you gotta love it
If they make 1% percent of those actions useful it is still more "effective apm" than i have 😅
uThermal is the mad scientist of SC2 🤓
ryung vs crank had some crazy fight
fun tournament. penguin brothers with tanks. I like it.
I was once planetary rushed by someone i proxy hatched. We traded sides of the map and kept playing a weird game lol
These tournament runs are the best
Jajajaja very fun plays, now i have more strategys for my TvP and TvP
Amazing content! Question, why did you GG game 1 vs Maxpax? You were both on 1 base, I imagine it was pretty equal in terms of economy, was it just tech advantage in blink?
Yeah I would never be able to make anything to kill the blink stalkers ^^
Damn, that first game against MaxPax was sooo close! 😅
What'd be cool is Banchee Viking + Raven vs Protoss. (ONLY PROTOSS)
Predominantly those units
Hey Marc! Cheers for another nice episode! :)

your commentary is great
Loving the emperors children color scheme
Nice use of Bang-Shees 👍
First opponent is an old friend!! Hahha
I am reloving the PF to, well Winning again, the Planetary is one of my FAV.
Incredible.
damn, you beat ryung.. wow dude, gj
It`s not important the strategy, it`s important the performance
I literally just whined about missing linger videos and then this pops up. It's like marc can read my mind
Can't read your handle in purple, old man vision... If you're not smurfing they shouldn't even have to scout to be on edge 😂
I heard MaxPax is nice to elderly people and animals.
Lol
When is starcraft 4 coming out?
must be frustrating playing against you lol
i wonder when i see a lowko casted game with you in it... i see players he often casts like clem, maxpax so i assume at some point if not allready he casts a game with you in it
ur crazy man jajajaj nice video
This is awesome man haha
good colour choice. Gameplay was also ok
I never been so entertaint ty

Thor's are always bad news in the pro games , idk why
Mark you should do more competitive tournaments! Series with Ryung was a banger! Ryung is a strong player and you just won!
holy shit bro that was wild
43:49 "Genius strategy" my guy this is psychotic delusion. get help.
MAKING A CAMP FIRE LOLOLOL
Great game 😊
Need commentary on torny please
Your GG vs Maxpax was too early.
That's fucking amazing lmao
you are good with every race... can you maybe play random in a ternament? i mean technically it is good for you becouse your good with all and that gives you way more unpredictable proxis
This guy is my father
God bless you
Why cancel at 13 mins? The game might have been lob sided. But its not over until they punish your mistake and cripple you
A terran using ravens? Wut?
GGs
Do you need a coach?
