Hope we’ll see more of you on utube. I’d like to see your process as well. Each person brings something new to the art. I personally would like to see some of your dyeing techniques. Thank you for sharing
The jellyfish, superb. The color of the swirling water on the cover amazing but the tassel and it's color, BEAUTIFUL. It only took me a second to subscribe and hit the black bell. OK girl, it is your turn to get busy and share more of your amazing talents. Your new RUclips friend, Lynn, Dodge City, KS

It's wonderfully pretty & very full of art. Guess I don't understand the concept of journals in these current times? We used to buy pretty journals so that WE could write in them.
Thank you, alot of the time people do still write in these in the available spots, or on the journal cards and tags. Others will add more decorations, or add personal photos to them. No rules on how to use them really.
@@LiliMoonStudio how very cool way to use them without taking away from the artistic work tgat goes into them! Wuth all those little pockets, great way to save momentos from events.

Gorgeous 🦀 I just love it, it has a Jibid Neary vibe going on (that's no easy task). I've added this video to my New Theme Thursdays Heroes' playlist (I "collect" videos that are brave in their themes and buck the "butterfly and botanical" herd, lol. This fits that bill perfectly. I love how there's minute detail as well as abstraction and it all flows perfectly together. Wonderfully done 🤓
@@Swan-rb4yg lol, she is an amazingly talented journal maker(I can't call them "junk" journals in that they are works of art), my favorite is Ye Old Curiosity Shoppe: a steampunk meets Charles Dickens themed book that is too cool for words (she has a YT channel). She's done a brilliant mermaid journal that this one reminds me of.
Beautifully Done! I have a few questions: 1. How did you make the jellyfish paperclips? 2. How did you dye that waxed paper? 3. How do you dye using red cabbage? 4. What kind of netting did you use? 5. What are the size of your signatures? Length and width and number of pages? Thank you! Rhonda
Oh man it’s been a while so I’ll answer what I can. So the cabbage I boil with water on the stove and use the water as a dye, there are tutorials on RUclips. The wax paper I just soaked it in the dye, which I believe was fabric dye and just let dry. The netting on the cover? That is creepy cloth that I pick up around Halloween from the dollar tree. The jellyfish paper clips were made from card stock and acrylic paint, with eyelash trim. I use just regular printer paper folded in half for the signatures, I just tore the edges. As for the number I’m not sure. I say the number of total pages so divide that by 3 and it should give you the number. Hopefully this helps!
Good morning...new subscriber here. I have just discovered your channel while scrolling along. This is absolutely beautiful! I totally love it and I've only seen the outside. What did you use for the covering besides the netting? Love the texture. Ok...that question out of the way, now to the inside. Read some comments and I am so looking forward to it....😊 I am jumping back in but not sure what's happening when I edit... Love your jellyfish paper clip...did you use eyelash fringe? (Not sure if this will turn out as a duplicate comment).
@@rhondamitchell5892 I do not! I’m kind of all over the place when I do them 😆 maybe in the future but I honestly can’t see myself doing it anytime soon.
Thank you, and these types of journals are used in a few different ways. You can write in them, any space that isn't highly decorated is fair game as well as on the backs of the tags and journaling cards. Some people like to further decorate them, Others will add photos. I know people that will get one that corresponds with a special trip they are planning on taking and fill it with memories of that. You can really do anything you want with them.
Someday I'll attempt doing a step by step process, but its definitely in the future. My "process" is chaotic 🤣 I wouldn't even know where to begin honestly. It's something I'd have to heavily organize, and life is a little too busy at the moment.
At 3:04 I do list them off! I'm not anywhere good to totally check right now, sorry! I did put the different shops in the description. Hope that helps! ❤
Please can you tell me the price range your journals sell for? I don't know what your etsy link is but it's handy to know the price - then I can pop back here and watch out for any new ones if they're within my price range.
Hi! Here is my shop link www.etsy.com/shop/LiliMoonStudio87 I generally price between $100-$150... it really just depends on the journals so it could end up being more or less but that's been my usual range so far.
I honestly find it hard to price these. This specific journal I sold for $125. If looking to price something I definitely recommend looking around on etsy at similar journals to get an idea of listed prices.
Some gorgeous & interesting things in that journal.

For the cover it's just a few layers of crumpled up tissue paper and acrylic paint. I did seal with modpodge. Yes, its eyelash trim for the jellyfish.
