TIP: With your distressed, previously wadded up craft paper go another step before applying ink. Submerse in hair conditioner thinned with a bit of warm water. Massage the paper in your hands, flatten out then allow to dry. You'll notice how soft and leatherlike it feels. Of course many of us love the sound of very dry, crinkly paper, I get it! GREAT journal!!
Love it! I haven't made a junk journal before, but have been dying papers, accumulating ephemera, a few stamps, etc. I want it to be a forest type journal. To finish it out the way I have pictured in my mind, I still need some photos, animal and fauna artwork, some eco prints, and maybe a few metal charms. I'm sure there will be many journals in my future. Searching for and creating the components is so fun.
New Subscriber here! Well you've made my day! I'm in the hunting and gathering phase with 35 years of Ephemera dating back to 1870 so I'll be going old school vintage when I make my journals... You've truly inspired me! Also have a wallpaper obsession!
Lily Moon!! You just got yourself your 99th subscriber- ME!! 😊 I adore your style! This journal is STUNNING!! ❤ I can’t wait to see what you do next, you’re very talented! Thanks for sharing your beauty creation! 😁❤️
Hey just subbed ya! I found you in my feed and I am always looking for more fellow journal makers! I must say t hat this journal is beautiful! Love all the layering! That stamperia forest pad is nice. I just used it too in a journal for a swap. I just wish they would make more pads that were regular paper and not always card stock. That little fox and squirrel were my favorites from that pad. Enjoyed this video and looking forward to more from you!
Thank you! I'll have to check your channel out! Those stamperia pads are fantastic, aren't they? I do agree I'd prefer paper over cardstock as well. I have a few different pads I've been hoarding. I'll get into them one of these days 🤣
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! HOW BEEEAUUUTYFUL!!!!! you made it absolutly amazing! This inspireds my,to do also one of this.... Many greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭👍🍀❤️🙏🤗
Your journal is absolutely stunning! How did you get the wood bark look? I am struggling a little with imagining the cover for my Fairy journals. This is gorgeous!
This journal is beautiful 😍 I love how chunky it is. The tree pocket page is a favorite but I love all the texture, fibers and stamping that you've placed throughout. Well done 👏🏾 I'm sure this one will sell quickly if it's not already gone. You have a new subbie 🤗
Gorgeous Forest Journal. Lots of creativity and textures throughout the journal and very fun to explore and to enjoy each page. Am new to your channel. Just subscribed. Love the tree pocket. Thanks for sharing.
Love love love this journal. I am currently working on my second journal which is a forest theme. I’m so inspired by all the information these videos create. So Thankyou for sharing this creation. I’m assuming you must do all the sewing and trims to the pages before the signatures are sewn in??? I have been glueing trim on some pages but wondered how on earth you sew them on 🙈🙈!! Can’t wait to watch it all again. Once again, THANKYOU 🙂🙂
Thank you! Yes, I do the sewing before I sew in the signatures. I generally do most of the decorating before adding signatures to get a decent idea for the size of the spine. Best of luck with your forest journal! They are definitely some of my favorite to make!
Many thanks for your prompt response. Actually made me laugh. How stupid of me 😂😂. I’ve watched so many videos but never actually realised HOW you all do it!! I’ve been holding my journal this way and that and decided there MUST be a way. Then I watched you and thought, they must SURELY do it all BEFOREHAND!!!!!! Now I get it 🙈🙈!!! It must be my age!!!!! THANKS once again xxx💕💕
It seems like many people put too much ephemre into one journal so the journal becomes too large for the spine. In my opinion, books look better if they lie flatter. I know, it's hard to stop. Maybe starting with a bigger spine would help. Your journal is very pretty and I admire your work.
Thanks! It was pretty simple I used texture paste and a wood grain stencil on strips of card stock. Painted with acrylic paint and sealed with mod podge.
Guten Tag Lilli Moon, the tree pocket is my absolutely favorit. I love it, but what kind of material ist the tree? Lovely greetings from Dresden in Germany
A gator mouth is a term used when the opening of the book ends up wider than the spine. This is definitely not just a typical journal, I know it's not for everyone. There is space for writing basically anywhere that isn't too heavily embellished, and one shouldn't be afraid to write on the dyed paper, as well as on the backs of journaling cards and tags.
Omg i finally found a creator that makes things that i love of the woodland things.😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Love this, gorgeous textures and colours

Wow wow wow 😮😮😮, gorgeous. Nothing else to say other than gorgeous ❤❤❤

I do agree, the "collecting" process is one of the fun parts. Best of luck with your future projects!

What a beautiful journal! Straight up my alley. Where did you get those leaves? Do you have a link?
Thank you! Aren't those leaves fantastic!?! I actually found them on a faux plant at a thrift shop, so unfortunately no link.
@@LiliMoonStudio ah ok. What an awesome find!!!

Guten Tag Lilli Moon, the tree pocket is my absolutely favorit. I love it, but what kind of material ist the tree? Lovely greetings from Dresden in Germany
Hello! The tree is made from Kraft paper that I backed with a bit of card stock. Just stenciled over it.
@@LiliMoonStudio Dankeschön!
This is an absolute masterpiece 🥰 love all the little details including the tree page! Are all your little fussy cut animals from printables?
Yes they are, that or from the stamperia pad ❤
Are you selling that one and if so how much
This journal has been sold
What is a gator mouth? And how is just a journal if there is nowhere to write in it?
A gator mouth is a term used when the opening of the book ends up wider than the spine. This is definitely not just a typical journal, I know it's not for everyone. There is space for writing basically anywhere that isn't too heavily embellished, and one shouldn't be afraid to write on the dyed paper, as well as on the backs of journaling cards and tags.
