Thank you. I very much appreciate your continued support. Viewing numbers have certainly dropped off since I stopped the weekly uploads and I think RUclips have stopped suggesting my content but it is important for me to keep up links with my regular viewers. 👍😎
Great update Tim, I watched this on my phone when you released it but wasn't signed in, so I've enjoyed it all again on my PC all signed in and can now leave this comment. Enjoyed John's video and will check out more of his stuff. Ipswich was my first land-away when I was training at Southend, loved that turn over the bridge low level. Looking forward to your next update. Thanks Tim
Thanks for watching again Terry. As I have just said to Kev, viewing numbers have dropped off since I stopped the weekly uploads and I feel that RUclips is not pushing my content as they did? Having said that, comments are still coming in from the hard core of regular viewers which is important and I do appreciate.
Not lost your touch Tim, from a flying and video point ,both a fantastic watch. There always seems something new and interesting to fly over in your neck of the woods.
Thanks Tim ( & John)......Green with envy as usual at all that lovely scenery. Love the historical snippets which inevitably lead me to further investigation on the net !! Good luck with the move Tim... I too am on the permanent move and in 14 days will become Thaieagle!. Even further from the green and pleasant pastures. !! Hopefully will be briefly back for a blast of chilled air in Feb. Looking forward to the Christmas Special !
Great video as always, yes I remember the airfield at Ipswich, I used to second hrs up there as a lad, watching the aircraft come and go, great shots of coastline, i've forgotten how interesting that part of the world is. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Barry. Always nice to fly over unusual places but have to keep high over the bird reserve on Orford Ness. Haven’t flown over Foulness as those guns can still be active! 😊
Another great video Tim, I love East Anglia and you mention of Ipswich airport reminded me of one early flight as a passenger from there to Southend in a Heron of Channel airways. My uncle was also a secret squirrel radar engineer at Martlesham. Best wishes and fingers crossed for your move.
Cheers Tim. Thoroughly enjoyed your monthly treat today. Took me far too long to watch it all due to being dragged to Lincoln by my better half. The under wing camera was ideal for showing us all the secrets of the secret island. Totally engrossing. Looking forward to your Christmas update.
@@JodelFlyera bit of shopping but the main visit was to see my wife’s godfather who has offered to deal with a collection of old coins, books & fountain pens that we inherited after her mothers passing earlier this year.
thanks for the update and the history of Orford Ness, it is now on my list of "places to visit." we are ourselves in the very late process of moving house, as such i haven't flown for some weeks and i am positively itching to get back up in the air. good luck with the move.
I never tire of flying over that piece of coastline. It is fascinating and also a connection to my late father who boarded many of his ships at Harwich/ Felixstowe whilst in the merchant navy. Lee
Do love the mix of the banter between you and John, and the lesson and great stills of aviation history. Looking forward to the pre Christmas edition already… All the best Tim.
Well that was a pleasent surprise finding you and John lurking in my machine!! Good to see you back Tim with your very interesting video!! I haven't flown since 25th October because of the rain .... I hope your move goes okay an d speak soon eh?
I am trying to keep up with at least one video a month Mike and settled for the last Friday of the month. Not much flying here at the moment but fingers crossed for more when the move finally goes through. 👍😎
Videos like this give me so much joy and will power. As the winter drags on waiting to finish my ppl, seeing the joy flying with freinds can brings makes me very exited for spring :)
My Dad was a Radar Mech on Lancaster bombers, WWII. He wasn’t even allowed to tell his parents what he was doing for the war effort’s. Really enjoyed the insight.
Nice video and good to see you flying Tim. Nice to see Orford Ness too. As a radio ham the area possess a lot of interest for the radio enthusiast in me. Take care, hope the move goes ok.
So good to see you and John having quality time together . As an apprentice in the early 70’s working with the Post Office Telephones as it was at the time ,I attended many courses at Bletchley Park . None of the fellow attendees had any idea as to it’s significance and role during the Second World War , thanks to the official secrets act . Seeing Martlesham from the air rekindled all those memories . Thank you Tim for your continued episodes , they are very much looked forward to .
Most enjoyable, what fascinating geography near your neck of the woods. VQ-BXH is a Dassault Falcon 8X exec jet registered in Bermuda and operated by Shell Aircraft Ltd.My apologies if someone has already pointed that out. I so much agree with your comment about the invisibility of gliders, one time I only saw a glider in front of me because the sun flashed along the leading of the wing, that certainly got my attention!
Thank you John. Nobody else has commented on the Dassault Falcon and I hadn’t looked up the Bermuda bit. Gliders can be very difficult to see can’t they 😊
My favourite Friday of the month. Glad to see you and John get some air time. Its amazing how once strictly forbidden top secret areas are now nature reserves, be that air bases or boffin nests. I was going to wish you an early Happy Christmas but since we're getting a Dec 23rd update, I will save that until then. Hopefully both my parents will be out of hospital by then too. It has been one of those fortnights.
Thank you Robert. Very kind of you to say about favourite Friday of the month. Hope things are better for your parents soon. Best wishes to you and them.
Great video as normal Tim. Has John got an aircraft lined up yet? Love the Ness, part of history that can go totally unseen by many but is so visable to us in the air.
Thanks Algy, as we have said we are very privileged to be able to do what we do and see the things we can. John has not yet been lucky in his search. 🤞
Hi Tim, another very interesting and informative video. I live about seven miles from your home base and often keep a look out for you either visually or on Flight Radar. Can I assume that you don't actually show up on Flight Radar as I have not spotted you on it yet !!?? Regards.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the video. I should show up on Flight Radar. My dad used to watch out for me but there again he knew when I was flying. I am afraid at the moment, with everything going on I am not getting to fly much. 👍😎
