Thank you so much! you helped throughout nursing school 5 years ago, and now again, I am ready for a management position, here you are helping me again. you are a very special human being. I have no family in this country for advice, I always come to you for guidance in my career, God bless you and your family.
Thank you so much! I've been waiting for this video for awhile and thank you again for making it. I have an idea of what they do now. I'm currently in the MSN-Administration program and hopefully one day I'll get a CNO position.
+David Nguyen You're very welcome, David! Glad you liked the video. That is awesome you are in the program already...you are on your way to making the big bucks. CNOs make a very nice salary. Best wishes :)
I am interested in doing this for sure. But i do have a question hopefully you can answer. This video is 3 years old. If i we're to get my msn in leadership and management. How long will the process be If I wanted to do nurse practitioner?
Depending on where you live you can do your NP without masters. Or there are combined programs with masters and NP. So first do bachelors in nursing. Then you have to do certain amount of hrs as an RN (2yrs where I live) to apply to the NP program. The NP program is 2 yrs approximately
but can you also have managemnt director roles with a BSN ? I am debating whether to do a 15 month bsn accelerated bsn vs. a 2 year msn . I have master's in management. I am not sure which one to do but bsn is shorter but can bsn still be a chief, manager, executive too?
Hi, my daughter graduates this December as a Healrh Administrator. But now she decided she wants to be a nurse, so she wants to go back to school. Should she go back for a BSN or a MSN. She has never worked in a hospital, the only experience she has is she is a phlebotomist, so she works at a blood bank. So what direction she should take to become as a nurse
In the Philippines, we have MSN major in Leadership & Governance, i think its the same with this program. Can you kindly enlighten me which is better to choose as a clinical nurse, MSN or MAN? Thanks alot!
hi there .... I have my BSN and have been working in the hospital for about 2yrs... I am very interested in this program and would like to start the program this spring. considering my age mid 20s... I wonder how realistic this will be as those that hold these positions are older. what's your option on that
Really it is all about nursing experience and what you have accomplished in your nursing career to be considered for leadership positions. Yes, many older nurses hold these positions because they have excellent nursing experience to bring to the leadership position....however, I have encountered nurses in their late 20s to early 30s in management positions. I would work on gaining excellent experience and then go from there. Best wishes!
Hi there ..an Indian RN here .. Hopefully , I will be moving to Canada in this September . Actually I've chosen diploma course in nursing leadership and management .. would it be beneficial .. I mean would diploma be enough to get register as Canadian RN .BTW I've completed my bsc. Nursing here in India .please help me out .
I really want to be an OR nurse...and know most require a bachelors. But I don’t know if I then might wanna be a CRNA later down the line...do I go for the RN to BSN. Or RN to MSN ? Cause I don’t know which track I’d choose ? Cause I do not think I want to be a NP. I’m torn...cause I applied originally for RN to BSN ...to start later next month...but should I tell them to change it to RN to MSN? I have no idea what to do. BSN or MSN?
I got accepted to do my masters of Nursing for an Ontario university... how relevant is this to Ontario RNs? I have no formal leadership experience. Any insight as to whether I should pursue my masters without any formal leadership experiences? I have 2 years case management experience... and 1 year bedside exp
hey Victoria! Im also in Ontario looking into doing my masters in nursing. Did you complete the masters program? Were you able to find a job after... I am wondering what the job prospects look like post grad :)
This probably doesn't have much to do with this video.. But I'm a senior in high school, I either would like to go to school to be a nurse or a dental hygienist. I'm looking at a school for nursing but I'm not sure if they have a program for RN.. They have the BSN, can I get my BSN without my RN? Thank you!
+Nicole Jones Great question, Nicole! If they have a BSN program...they have a RN program because a BSN program is a nursing program. The BSN degree leads to becoming a registered nurse. To become a registered nurse (RN) you have to earn either an ADN or BSN degree. The ADN takes 2 years to complete and BSN takes four years to complete. So, the program you are looking at offers the BSN degree to become a RN. After you graduate from the university with the BSN degree, you will have to take a state boards exam called the NCLEX-RN. Once you pass this exam you will be a registered nurse. I hope that makes sense :) Thanks for your question and I wish you the best in your decision.

My aunt is an executive nurse director and she makes $400k a year
I know this is almost a year late, but does your aunt live in CA? :o
Where does she work 🙏🏻
What did she major in msn
Very informative. I’m getting my masters degree. Thank you! :)

Go MBA over MSN - Allows you to transition to other non-pt care executive roles after working as a Director for a little bit.
Those salaries are low for CA standards. It's a lot more out here but it's also expensive to live out here. So it balances out.
Great video. Can't wait for the managed care nurse video!
+jeraldine augusme Thank you, Jeraldine :) The managed care nurse video will be uploaded for you tomorrow :) Can't wait for you to see it!
People in management have a mindset to save people for the organization, while undermining the front line workers.
Do you have a video of MSN Nurse educator and residency?
Many nursing schools are launching Direct Entry MSN, a program for people with a B.A. or B.S. in a non-nursing degree
I am interested in doing this for sure. But i do have a question hopefully you can answer. This video is 3 years old. If i we're to get my msn in leadership and management. How long will the process be If I wanted to do nurse practitioner?

Most management + executive jobs require a masters degree.
Hi, I am in high school and exploring careers and nursing. To become a nurse administrator how long does it take?

Is this the same as MSN-CNL?
